Yuck...why is the stage not in the middle of the floor?? I don't like this setup and this is the one show I am trying to make...Hmmmmmmmmmm...

I don't like it either but I hope that this doesn't happen > "For some events, the layout and specific seat locations may vary without notice." meaning they decide to move the stage to the center. I would be censored pissed

I'll be attending the Greenville show. According to ticket master the price range for Greenville is:

US $20.00 - US $199.00
US $20.00 Ticket + US $9.00 Fees =
US $29.00
US $199.00 Ticket + US $29.15 Fees =
US $228.15
360 center stage setup * no cameras/recording !* 8 ticket limit*
And it looks like the seating will have the symbol stage centered in the arena. I plan on getting the VIP package.
Link to view the stage set up and info on ticketmaster for the Greenville concert:

because it looks like its only one entrance in to the venue btwn section 102 & 140, its not like the NJ/NYC shows where there are multiple entrances

Can't believe he's going to be in my town (Columbia) and I have a tech rehearsal for a play that opens that week!! Thank God for the other dates! Thank you, oh Quixotic One, for your unpredictability!

That's my hometown too! If there were to be an aftershow in Columbia (also John's hometown), I wonder if they would hit Hunter Gatherer, or that new (to me) spot right next to Yesterday's in Five Points

^^^ I am going to see Sheila E. March 26th at Yoshi's in San Francisco, so she defintely won't be there. But you will have an amazing concert anyway! I was privileged to see Prince at the Oracle in Oakland, twice, and I would have gone to the last concert if I didn't have a final graduate class to attend that night! Prince was amazing, especially the second night. It seems like he has to feel a venue out the first night and then he gives his all! So, you folks in the Carolinas--give your all! BTW don't leave when you think the concert is over! Prince likes to milk the crowd and will come back with two, three, four encores! Just to let ya'll down South know! wink

I think it is: Prince and the Bunch of People Who will be fired sooner or later. (somebody funny came up with a similar title on a thread a few years ago looking for a new name for a then outdated NPG.)...another name would be Prince and the Damb Keyboard Army...he doesn't have a guitar player, so that means if he isn't playing it, there is no guitar in his music.

From another post:

Morris Hayes ( Keyboards)
Cassandra O'Neil ( Keyboards, Vocals)
Shelby Johnson ( Vocals)
Elisa Dean ( Vocals)
Olivia Warfield ( Vocals)
John Blackwell (Drums)

Ida Nielsen (Bass)

Renato (keyboards)

Just got my tickets for Greensboro. On the floor, section F row 10. I've never been able to sit close when I've seen him so I wanted a good seat this time. I can't wait!

Was it a resonable price?

I went for the $119 level seats. So it was costly but I was willing this time.

hmmm I'm not quite sure where or how many of these $20 tickets there were but the cheapest I'm finding is $49 and those are the upper level back rows. Maybe it's $20 if I sit in the parking lot and wave at the coliseum?? lol

Seems like for the Columbia show, the $20 and the $49 tix are about the same. I checked 'em both out, and they're both nosebleed. My 2 $20 tix are in the last row at the very top (no joke). At least I won't have anyone telling me to sit my ass down!

Before I got tix, I told people at work the $20 tix let you sit in the parking lot with the window rolled down so you can hear a little bit. biggrin

Like Poiple (great nick!), my Greensboro $20 seats are BBB, the last row in the top. I hope we don't hit our heads on the rafters! The $49 tix were still in the upper section only a few rows down, so I didn't see the point in paying 3 times as much. I have been up high for shows in GSO, it's really not bad. You do have a great view of the stage.

I would have loved for us to be on the floor but I couldn't see having to skip a house payment to do it. sad

I'll be sitting right in front of you! biggrin I'm mad because I thought tickets were starting selling today....

I do recall at Musicology we called ourselves "walking around the balcony" and ended up basically standing at the rail for most of the concert. Oh well, even if I was sitting in the front row it's still not gonna make him much bigger wink

I saw two of the shows in Oakland, and it's better that the stage is NOT in the middle of the floor. My seats at Oakland were great both nights. The people with seats "behind" the stage were not so lucky though. Prince was facing toward the arrow 90% of the time, so his back was to those people 90% of the time.

That's why "In the round" sucks. This setup is much MUCH better and I wish it would have been like that in Oakland. It would have been better for everyone, not just for those (like me) who paid $$$.

Are you in section 201?

I'm going to have to laugh if the upper section is packed and the lower sections are lightly populated due to the prices.
