I am trying to figure out the best way to make sure that I get my hands on a ticket! Has anyone been to any other dates? I'm trying to figure out how much tickets are going to be. I don't see listings on ticketmaster or livenation yet.

I missed seeing when when I lived in Detroit, and I know him being in SC is probably a one-time thing, so I'm trying to make it happen!! =)

Prince announces N. Charleston tour date

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Prince will bring Purple to the Lowcountry with a tour date scheduled in North Charleston on March 30.

The scheduled concert is one of six concerts planned in the Carolinas.

Friday's concert announcement comes on the heels of three Oakland, Calif. shows and what Prince promoters describe as six incredible shows in the New York area.

Promoters say the local shows will mark a homecoming for two members of The New Power Generation. Drummer John Blackwell and vocalist/tambourine player Shelby Johnson are both from South Carolina.

Tickets go on sale beginning Monday, March 14th at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com, except for Columbia, SC which are available at twctix.com.

March 21st Columbia, SC - Colonial Life Arena On Sale: 3/15 @ 10am ET

March 23rd Raleigh, NC - RBC Center On Sale: 3/14 @ 10am ET

Considering I am in Maryland, I would consider going to one of the North Carolina shows. Wish I had advanced notice of what is going on though. If he is going to be in D.C. in the near future, I wouldn't want to head down to North Carolina.

I live in Maryland too and I am now considering driving down if I can get tickets. Does anyone know if there is a pre-sale to any of these concerts? Thanks

Please know that I am collecting used Prince concert tickets, so if you don't want to keep your ticket after the show, I am very much interested and will pay you $10 for each ticket (or any older Prince ticket you might have) !!
