He played it tonight and it was fucking AMAZING.

Little Red Corvette has generally been ignored in a hit Vs Played tour song in the past 25 years.

If the version he is doing this week it the same as the slowed down version that he did last year in Europe, then its the highlight of the show. A Gem. Best version I have witnessed in those 25 years.

he really has taken this song to another level in 2010/2011.

So the new arrangement is amazing??? Wow, I wish I could hear it! Does it still have the synths in the new arrangement, because the synths are what make the song IMO. I sure hope if he does a Chicago show that he performs Little Red Corvette!

I've heard he likes to pick up his guitar and strum this song at about 11am os sometimes at teatime.

So, yes, I suppose that would mean quite often.

OMG when he sang LRC Thursday....Prince has a touch of "Thespian" in him, no doubt.

He played it regualy between 1997/1998. then again in 2000/1.

After that it would only be acoustic on on the piano, like in 2004 and 2007. However in 2008 after a 7 year gap he suddenly did it full with the band. Kinda cool arrangement, only done once with that lineup.

Then in 2009 with John, Rhonda and REnato he arranged a new version which he has played regualy ever since.

Since he played the

new version of the song (Montreux 2009) he played it at 21 Concerts.

At the January 18 concert at Madison Square Garden he didn't play it. When I went to the February 7 concert however, he did play a nice extended version of it.

Diana baby I hope u get 2 hear it cuz it is his best live version hands down.

It was the best live version of this song I ever seen, I LOVED THE ARRANGEMENT!!!!!!!

I've re-discovered the hits after the concert by listening to all the extended/remix tracks. It's been a long time and they are FUNKY!!!!!

Coachella 2008 was the best version EVER. I watch that performance video almost every day, it's that good.

I had never seen him play Little Red Corvette since the Purple Rain Tour. Until Coachella where he revived a very similar arrangement which knocked my socks off. It's such a great song. Especially when he extends it. Since Coachella, it seems like he's been playing it more often. I'm glad I got to see it on the Thursday show of the Oakland run.
