Petition for Larry Graham to stay home

Cosign to let Prince know we want to Sheila open up not Larry. Maybe if this thread gets big enough someone will give him the message

Stop baiting people, please. Let people all have their own opinions. The constant bickering about people who summon thoughts of Larry Graham, be they positive or negative, is so pointless. Prince doesn't care about anyone's opinion of Larry Graham, otherwise he wouldn't have Larry open for him for the past 14 years. Letitgo.

You might as well just call this a petition to cut off your nose to spite your face.

When Larry opened up for Prince in NYC, it was as funky as anything I've ever seen. If you don't like what Larry and his band do up on that stage, your musical tastes must be bland. You should see if there's an Anne Murray concert you could go to instead.

lol

...with Pat Boone opening!

But seriously... Larry is THE MAN!

I heard him play a version of "Hair" not too long ago that I cannot even describe! I couldn't get the "funk" look off my face until the next day! disbelief

Amen to that Efan! I'm not a LG fan by any means but I respect him as a musician and the man plays a MEAN bass. I see how Prince was influenced by him and thinking about it that way makes it easier to enjoy the show cause LG is a good showman, for real.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It's not that Larry isn't a phenomenal bass player... it's that for anyoe who has been a hardcore Prince fan a long time, we've seen him do the same exact thing every single time since 1998. EXACTLY THE SAME EVERY TIME. ENOUGH!

Not to mention that yes I am a little bit bitter about him taking advantage of Prince at a weak point in his life after he'd suffered a great deal of tradgedy and then filling his head with mumbo jumbo.

Larry is funky, I endured 3 nights of Carmen Electra on the 1992 D&P tour in London, the place just emptied, she was awful, so it could be worse.

More than anything else Larry has been a big bro to Prince. We should all be fortunate hes there looking out for Prince and steering him away from all the bad influences out there. You got to love the guy when he comes out with that white suite and that captains white hat. Seeing Jerry and Cynthia on the horns gives me a glimpse into the past when they were all part of the Family. Cynthia had a amazing solo last nite.. I don't know if I'll be there but I hope Larry is there for all 3 shows. Larry was a hero to him growing up. When you are playing with your hero's like Larry and Carlos, than you begin to understand Prince's development growing up and where his influences came from. Sponge it in. Its not often you see once of a lifetime musicial genius playing with his buds as the same time.

Some of you need to watch that interview with Sinbad. After you watch that you'll see that Larry is.....yeah... not that interesting. BUT he's cute in an old person way. I like to call him Grahamdaddy. hug

No way! I just say Larry, please do some other songs. LG is an awesome opening act, on this tour, he's gotten the best reviews from what I've read. Really Prince could do without an opening act. But will he listen? I doubt it. Everything with him is so repetative lately, I feel like putting my arm over a candle flame. I do hope Prince reads and listens, its not to be mean, I love him and Larry, I just want to see something different.

As much as people complain that certain members left Prince, everyone has to admit that it kept it fresh and new. Its time for him to rework the NPG! We need someone new/fresh..NOW!!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol
