Apparently Prince told everyone to stop tweeting.
Might explain why updates are hard to come by...

thanks for the setlist.
and once again, no after show. the rumor I heard around 4:30 was Ruby Skye, but, alas, it was just a rumor.

hehehe...updated my list...still no idea of course if it's right, but that seems closer, according to the sparse tweets out there...
...and fair enough too - if I was lucky enough to be at a Prince concert, I wouldn't waste precious moments tweeting either!!
In any case, sounds like another awesome concert. Can't wait to hear the actual reviews! Lake Minnetonka Music: https://lakeminnetonka.bandcamp.com/

OMFG!!! If that was indeed the setlist last night, I envy those who were there! I wish Prince does recordings of his concerts! Would love 2 c and hear those songs performed live or watch it on Blu-Ray! "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Mmmm, Nasty Girl, The Bird, Jungle Love! It sounds so fun!
But no special guests except Larry and Sheila? I wonder if he got people up onstage tonight to dance w/ him? "A woman every day should be thanked, not disrespected, not raped or spanked"

The show was amazing. Not sure why anyone was griping about shows lately, but he was on fire. The setlist above is correct (though Sexy Dance and Le Freak were the same song) and Housequake was only "How many ya'll know about the quake" a few times.
He did QUITE a bit of dancing around and seemed to be in a generally happy vibe. He and Sheila have a kinetic rapport. I kept feeling that they looked as if they were married or best friends, the way they interacted.
I did not hear him say anyone should stop tweeting. The only time he referenced phones was when he had told people to wave their phones side to side, but not right now. The phones came out and waved side to side anyway, though, and for the duration of that song.
Everyone looked great. Everyone performed great (Prince's solos were on fire, especially LRC).

BTW - Sheila left the stage after Glamorous Life (she elevator'd down) and I am not sure when she came back, but I wanna say she was back for Controversy in the black and silver outfit she wore the rest of the night.

Fixed - and thanks for the review

Was "Delirious" the full song? And how much of Sign "O" The Times, Forever In My Life, Pop Life & Black Sweat did he do? Sooooooooooooooooo lucky! Judging by the setlist tonight, I'm predicting now that Thursdays setlist will be the best of the 3 Oakland shows- Prince knows it needs a "push" to sell more tickets- I think juicing the set tonight was a selling point and indicator that missing Thursday could prove very regretful for those that know the number and don't call...

Oh it was just great. Even Larry gets mad props from me. BTW - that's where the special guest for the night was. Greg Errico, original drummer for Sly and the Family Stone, came in and took over on the drums for the last couple songs in Larry's set. Anyway, GCS' set was cool. Larry did this awesome bit where it was just him and the drummer and he wailed on that bass and made sounds come out of it that could make Joan River's blush.
I know he is not popular around here and I am not particularly a fan of his music (I don't even like "Hair"!), but the band was tight and sounded great.
Other Highlights -
* The whole arena apparently knew the lyrics to "One In A Million You" except for me. LOL. Not sorry. * Morris' odd positioning. I was right behind Morris (which was also a good indicator of encores cuz Morris did NOT get up offa that thang until the 2nd encore was over) and it was just cool to watch him play. I wanted badly to get his attention but he was preoccupied with some drunk skank and a brother who was hanging out with him the whole time. * "Somewhere Here On Earth" and "I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore"... Not much into the slow jams (nor SHOE) but these were really fantastic. ILUBIDTUA had almost an "Insatiable" type vibe to it in this arrangement. * Prince is LOVING his new hip because he can take that thang out and do whatever he wants with it now. He was booty popping, crawling on the piano, and generally running around everywhere. * Prince's guitar playing on "Little Red Corvette", "Controversy", and "Purple Rain" were flawless. * Shelby was waving around some flag during "Purple Rain" but I couldn't make out if it was like... something interesting or a MasterCard logo. * Liv's voice is phenomenal. Why is Shelby still here? Elisa was cool, but I think she's a lil thick for wearing one of those tutu skirts with her titties spilling out. She did look like the coolest grandma on the stage next to Cynthia Robinson though! * Prince asked, rather early in the show, if we were all coming back tomorrow. He said, "Well ya'll REALLY need to come back tomorrow if you liked tonight cuz -" and then he just started stumbling back and waving his arms like it stunk, lol. He was shouting "OH lawd!" from just far enough away from the mic to hear him (kind of like when he does "Slow down!" on LRC). [Edited 2/24/11 0:36am]

"Delirious" was complete. SOTT, Forever In My Life, etc were the first verse while he played at the sampler/piano.

Loved the set-list way more tonight than on Monday night. Hoping for another fantastic set-list tomorrow night (tonight I guess).
I never heard him say to stop tweeting either.
He did do one thing I've never seen him do before: he threw his guitar to a fan in the crowd!!! I was shocked, and sooo jealous!
btw I sat in the lowers tonight instead of on the floor, so I could take pictures and record. And I sure did!

WHAT A CLIMAX!!! IMO tonight's show was better than Monday's - the crowd, the vibe, the mood, it all was in sync. He spent more time on the runway (arrow part of the stage) on Monday night than tonight. He was in a very good mood. He and Sheila are like brother and sister - very cool to watch. I remember back in the day when I first saw them together on stage how awesome it was to see two of my fav musical artists collaborate - still awesome after all these years. It was funny when he said "now watch Sheila...and then played "single ladies" - very cute.
Anyway, the setlist is on point. I believe "Delirious" was the full song. Sign O The Times - 1st verse and chorus. Forever In My Life - 1st verse. During "Pop Life" I think he forgot the words --- then said, "come on y'all" as if for some help. Black Sweat was pretty much the whistle sound and chorus...I may have some of this wrong because I was so mesmerized by all that I was hearing and seeing that it felt like I was dreaming.
Oh and uh....he did holler out "and stop tweeting...stay right here...stay right here"
btw: Larry's set was full o' fire tonight...I really enjoyed it (surprized myself)...funkay too funkay!
btww: The house was on fire when he teased us with Darling Nikki, then he quickly abandoned it just to come back later to tease again. He had to know that the house was the loudest at that point all night...he should just go on and play it - ya know - get it out of his system lol.

I was there and wrote down the setlist. I'll post them as soon as I'm on a real computer instead of the phone. What's been posted so far is correct with the exception of Arms Of An Angel and Sylvester's Disco Heat sung by The Ladies. If there's a chance ticket left I'll try to attend Thursday just to say I did. So far there were no tour book available , be dissapointed till further notice. Jeux Sans Frontiers

That was off the fucking hook. Most memorable concert I've been to, by far. That impromptu encore.. oh my god. That's the kind of shit people hope for at shows like this. Thank you, Prince!
Already got tickets for tomorrow night's show. Not missing this for the world.

He definitely announced to stop tweeting. He didn't say it angrily, but was telling you to stop tweeting and get into it. They were NOT selling any tour books or programs. Waited at 3 different souvenir stands. Great Controversy poster though. With the sampler piano, When Doves Cry was the first verse, Nasty Girl was a snippet, Sign Of The Times was the first verse, Darling Nikki was brief but it was done twice. The 2nd time, Sheila sat by him, seemingly egging him on to play Darling Nikki, etc. Also, when Larry Graham came back out, did anyone mention that they did the Sly & The Family Stone cover "Thankufahlettinmebemicelf"? Did anyone mention it?? Let's
Go Crazy, Delirious, 1999, Little Red Corvette were all complete versions. [Edited 2/24/11 1:30am] [Edited 2/24/11 1:32am]

Wow! What a concert. I can't decide if Monday's show was better or tonight's; let's just say both shows were great. The crowd tonight was non-stop and uber-loud. People danced all night long, again.
Prince started the show with Let's Go Crazy (thank you) and we did! The words so true and so on-time. I absolutely loved Somewhere Here on Earth, and I swear, the sinceriy of I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore brought tears. The Nasty Girl, Darling Nikki medley was smouldering hot; the Prince tease with his signature moves...made the women in our secton squeal with joy...so much fun in one evening.
Sheila's white dress was--as one friend put it; poured on..I say, exquisite as one mo' time she killed the drums.
Again, Larry Graham and Graham Central Station brought the funk, put it in a box and tied it with a nice red ribbon. It was really cute when Tina Graham got on stage and played with Larry for a few.
The band and Shelby J just do not miss a beat, true professionals who obviously love what they do. I loved Renato's coat. Tonight as I watched the band and singers, I wondered how they keep up with Prince? Its poetry in motion and Its a family affair. Its nice that way.
We had a great time. And, yes...there's always tomorrow....
