I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, if he had not posted about tix dropping, changing seats, being persistent, etc I probably would not have been on this so much to change or try to change my seats and get refunds..

SO... it looks like others benefitted from it as well:) A good portion of the people on this board or who have contributed to this thread have great seats....

Sure did...thanks "CrazyL." I was on the phone for a while as the rep called out specific sections, and I had been trying to get something in any section from 85 - 90 and finally, something came through for section 85. !

Like I said, I go to a ton of concerts, and I tend to visit forums of the acts that are coming to town, if just for the concert and the reviews...and then like the wind...I'm gone.

It pisses me off to see the real fans always getting stuck with the mediocre seats so I like to help out when I can.

This shit doesn't ALWAYS work - sometimes you have to pay above face for great seats - but it's totally awesome when it does.

And for Prince - it worked for all three Izod shows (of course one was canceled), and for this last Garden show.

Have fun at the show everyone. *I* actually learned something here...I didn't realize that these TM reps would swap seats for better ones. That's some new shit. Problem with me is I buy first and ask questions later when the good seats show up. But thanks for the tip!!!

What happens if there are better seats available the day of the show? Can we just request them once we are at the garden? How does that work?

You won't have any luck. Day of show, ticketmaster reps won't help you, and the ticket people at the garden won't either.

You can try it but I really think all bets are off on show day. I've tried returning tickets on day of show before and they said no way.

What about exchange? I am in 234 which is good. But I see stubhub has a bunch of tickets still left over. They are so marked up that I can not see people buying from them over ticketmaster except if they want particular seats.

No idea. Try it.

My guess is you will have no luck but doesn't hurt to try.
