I was never, ever, ever, ever going to take a chance. Flying out on 12/26, flight was cancelled with no hope of a confirmed flight until Weds or Thursday. I immediately got on the phone on Christmas night and started bouncing around the country.

And now, I'm here. (And listening to gripes about an expensive cab ride make me giggle, just a little. It's all perspective...)

Glad you made it okay and hope you enjoy your stay here despite the messy snow. There'll probably be airport delays, because of the winds from yesterday, but the airport staff should be able to clear the runways today, as the heavy winds are now gone, and very calm now, and the skies are partly sunny and clearing.

NewYorkers, could someone help me out please.

How are the Streets after a storm? Do they plow them good. I was thinking about driving into the city and parking. It's cheaper than 4 of us taking the train. Just wondering if it will be a problem getting tru the streets? Thanks

Where do you plan to park? You will prob spend more on parking.

Well, I'm in Manhattan right now, and the streets are quite a mess with some snow drifts, and slushy streets, and some unshoveled sidewalks, but most of the snow from the street is pushed to the side, but we're managing here. The main streets today are not bad. I can't say you won't have a problem driving in, because some roads are still being plowed, and just a bit slushy, but traffic seems to be moving okay. It also depends on where you are driving from. There's no wind, like yesterday, and the temps seem a bit warm rising into the mid to high 30s, and partly sunny, and tomorrow should be sunny as well.

Thankyou for the Info. I'll be comming from South Jersey. I can deal with slushy roads but, how about cars parked on the street? Are they there or maybe in the Garages? In Philly, If they call Snow Emergency, you can't park on the street. Do they do that in NYC? If I drive in, I want to be able find an open garage.

Well, I spent the night at Hampton Inn on 35th st for the 18th show. There was parking across the street. I was thinking on parking there. The cost is $46.

Taking the train in will be $32-$40 per person depending on which transit will take.

You can definitely find an open garage. There' s Edison parking which has quite a few open and closed parking garages. Also, space availability should be a concern for any of the garages at this time of year, and especially with the storm, but call them. Here's a pic of what it looks like, according to the pic on the address site, closest to MSG, and the phone number is below:

Have u tried the Amtrak? If u are leaving from Quebec, BC, Ontario, you may be able to make it to Penn station at the beginning of the concert. Try it out. By tomorrow, all trains should be pretty much back to normal. Good luck.
