finally received a response from fanfire about VIP merchandise, after a strongly worded email. it sounds as if they are still waiting for the merchandise to be shipped to them from production. sounds unlikely we'll receive before the shows:

We are awaiting the arrival of the VIP items from production. It is our hope to receive these items in the next few weeks. Once all the items arrive they will be bundled into VIP packages and we will then begin shipment. Thank you for your patience.

They said in the fine print that it wasn't gauranteed to arrive before the show.

sure, but a girl can hope, right? got the standard tee today--and it's not a terribly-crappy Hanes. so, that's just an added bonus.

I figured I'd wait to see what shirt came with the VIP package before buying another. Didn't want 2 of the same thing.
