Hoping someone can help me. I had VIP tix for the 14th, and got an email saying the show was cancelled and I got a refund. But I see a lot of y'all got emails offering you alternate seats for the 15th. I never got that. And is it also correct that some of you received emails from Livenation saying that you (who had originally purchased tix to the cancelled show) would get some kind of advantage in getting seats to the 1/18 NYC show? I never got that email either. I also never got an email about the presale, or the presale password. I'm kind of pissed. I was really looking forward to my VIP seats, even though hubby was pissed at me for spending that much money, and now I feel like I'm totally being left out in the cold. Can anyone orgnote me w/ the password if/when you get it? At least then I have a chance to get decent tix. Surely not VIP seats, but I guess that wasn't meant to be. Thanks all.

Go to your ticketmaster account. They probably have tickets there for you. But I think you will get an email too - check your junk folder? I think you have to do something to accept the new ticket or they will send you a refund.

I went to my account, and it just says 0 for that date. And as of yet, I still didn't get an email. Just the one telling me it was cancelled and I got a refund. But thank you for replying!

I did that, twice. the first time I got put on hold after being told that no, no one would get preferential treatment for the presale, and then he went to ask somebody else about these emails I didn't get, and I got hung up on. I had as much success w/ the next guy I talked to, he didn't have a clue about jack shit. I'll try again tomorrow I guess. I'm just bitterly disappointed. But I really feel sorry for those that spent money on airfare and hotels and whatnot. It's terrible.

I didn't to try for the 14th because the person I'm going with can't do Tuesday nights.

Yeah, well I just wanted VIP tix for myself and another crazy Prince lady. I didn't care which night, but tuesday was all I could get. I will be going on friday w/ my son though, and on the 29th. Just not VIP. Eh, that's just my luck. Trying to look at the bright side. We are all gonna have a good time, regardless!

I might have one of the VIP tables for the 15th.... I'm waiting for confirmation.

If not, I still have my Sec. 2 seats.

I have Sec. 122 for the 17th and 335 for the 18th. By then I will have seen the show twice, so I'm not too upset.

I haven't seen Prince since 2006, so I'm glad to be there.

Did you check your "spam" box to see if the email went there? If not, you should call ticketmaster to see if they could offer you seats for the 15th or send you the password that you will need for the presale on Wednesday, Dec 8th, 10am to 10pm, for the 1/18/11 show, offered to those who lost out on the cancelled show for the 14th. The sale to the general public for 1/18/11 will be held on Dec. 10th at 12 noon for MSG. Here's the article about the cancellation that tells fans who bought tix for the 14th what to do:

Prince Cancels One NYC Show, Adds Another

So Prince is coming to town soon, for a suite of shows at both Madison Square Garden and the Izod Center in New Jersey. First one was supposed to be December 14th at the latter. That show has been canceled. Ticketholders can either opt for "an email notification with a new seat location" for the following night's Izod show on Dec. 15 (look out you're not stuck behind a pole or something), or get a full refund and then priority access to a new show: January 18th at Madison Square Garden. As this is reliably confusing in a Prince sort of way, let's just run the whole release, plus the newly updated show dates below:

Due to overwhelming demand, Prince announced today that he is adding another Madison Square Garden show to the previously announced New York Area concerts. The two previously announced Madison Square Garden shows taking place on December 18th and December 29th sold out in less than 30 minutes. The new MSG show will take place on January 18th, 2011 with tickets going on sale December 10th at 12pm at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

Due to scheduling issues the first show at the IZOD Center on December 14th has been canceled. Ticket holders for the December 14th IZOD show will have several ticket options. They will automatically receive an email notification with a new seat location for the December 15th IZOD show which they can keep or receive a full refund at the point of purchase.

If they prefer to buy tickets to the newly announced MSG date scheduled for January 18th, they will have access to presale tickets on Wednesday, December 8th from 10:00 am ET to10 pm ET.
