Yes you were, fickyt, and it was nice of you to do that. I remember standing right next to you, and had to hold onto your shoulder a couple of times. We were both standing right in the front, where Prince and the band performed. Butter was a npgmc party to remember. It was like partying in someone's living room. I remember Stephen Hill getting on the mic;Tamar calling people from the audience to do 80s dances;?uestlove playing the drums for a minute;Prince letting people sing into the microphone, and when he picked a fan from the audience to dance with him, some fans in the back standing on tables to see the show, and who could forget when Paris Hilton and her crew rolled up, and no one cared?

Apollo maybe but there there's the 2am thing y'all keep talking about, that he has to end things before 2. So maybe not Apollo...

Village Underground is a possibility.

Highline Ballroom has a performance tonight.

Irving Plaza which is free tonight I think.

Roseland's out, there is a show tonight there.

Hamerstein is free I think.

Just throwing some suggesions out there...

I am not really a club person, so I'm not too familiar with them, I just know of some of the smaller concert venues in the city...

I made it to VU after hanging around midtown for a while and having folks scope out some other locations. It wasn't an afershow, more like an after party. After seeing all the celebs in the hous for the show at MSG I was about 99% sure that if anything jumped off afterwards it would be celebs only. I was right.

VU was already pretty packed. Dude at the door would NOT let me in. So I did what any normal Prince fan would do...

... I begged.

Sinbad came up just as the dude at the door was telling me no, and I was like "listen... I know he's inside... let me come in with you..." He was really cool, told dude I was with him and his people and they let me inside.

That was pretty much it. He didn't perform, Larry sang along with his backup singer the chick with the long red hair. Lots of celebs too, most of the ones you saw at the concert.

I left at around 3. He'd already left and many others were leaving as well.
