OK, so I called Ticketmaster once again, and after being put on hold a very long time the woman who was helping me told me that her supervisor told her that those people that bought VIP tickets to the canceled show get NOTHING, no email w/ a password for the presale. Bless her heart, she really did try to help me and agreed that this does not make sense, but there was nothing she could do for me. So if you bought any tickets to that show, other than VIP tix, you get access to the presale. But if you spent more money, well, shit on you I guess. Makes no sense to me, and I'm pretty pissed. If anyone has gotten an email about the presale, please, please, orgnote me the password. I'm desperate here. I'm not even trying to replace my VIP tix, hell, I just wanna get the best available. At this point, I'm not greedy. It just seems wrong to me that I'm being shut out of the presale altogether. Thanks all.

Are the VIP tickets on pre-sale?

If they are not, then that is why you dont get anything.

Ah, well that makes sense. But I explained to her that I didn't even care about getting VIP tix again, I just wanted to have access to the presale like all the rest who got canceled on the 14th. But then again, why wouldn't the VIP tix be up for grabs during the presale? That's how I got them in the first place, was thru the presale. It's all just very frustrating.

I just looked at the Ticketmaster page. The seating chart for Jan 18th is different. It doesn't have the table designations... there are lettered sections instead.

But I agree- it isn't fair that they didn't provide you with the presale code anyway. It seems to me that if you dropped that much money, they'd want to keep your business.

Yes, exactly! I know the girl who helped me really wanted to do something for me, but the supervisor said they got nothing for me. I guess what's meant to be will be. Or not.

It doesn't make any sense that anyone who shelled out money for the VIP sections for 12/14, didn't get an email to change for the next day or a presale password for 1/18. You'd think because you paid more you would get better customer service.

I tell ya what, I got bumped and have the offer 2 buy 4 tix during the pre-sale. I am only planning on buying 2. I will buy U a ticket if U defenitely want/can go and U can reimburse me... I think U got fuc%ed also and would like 2 help U out.

It makes no sense that only non-VIP's got a password unless only non-VIP tickets are being sold in the first pre-sale. TM wouldn't fuck you over like that. It's bad for business, especially to dis a customer who is willing to spend $$$.

I'm almost certain that VIP tickets will go on sale later, and you will get to keep the VIP goods they already sent you in addition to whatever else you get with other VIP seats that you purchase (if you decide to go that way). The extras will make good Xmas presents if nothing else.

Something similar happened to me with Roger Waters this fall. I got 2 VIP seats for a show that was eventually rescheduled. Since the rescheduled show was on a bad night, I opted to exchange my original tickets for 2 VIP seats to another show that was announced later. At that point I had already received my VIP goods in the mail. I phoned TM and asked them what I should do with them. They said to keep them and that I would receive 2 more VIP packages with my new purchase. They said it would cost more to deal with returning the packages than they were worth. So, I ended up with 4 VIP packages and 2 tickets.

Don't know about VIP tix, but I got a code and it is one time only. But the plane tix would cost as much as I already spent on the December tix! So, Jan tix would have to be exceptional seats for me to go to the added expense!
