Yes, most certainly!

I do hope the Antwerp show gets some changes in the setlist...

A setlist says nothing if u haven't heared the way the songs were performed. Last nite was for the greater part true making music. Delirious had nothing to do with the song as we know it. It was a way into a long bluesy&jazzy jam which used only notes & chords from the original.
Anyway it was a very very good night. Music was alive, the master completely free. The band has grown, it's a delight that John is back.
It was wonderful, thanks to anyone involved!

Oh you lucky people from Belgium. 2 main shows, 2 clubshows, maybe another aftershow tomorrow. How come you've been treated so well by Prince this year ?

ok .. this is what i know

The guy who organised the last pre-show and the previous aftershow in July, had twittered earlier that our purple friend was still in town for 2 days so a lot could still happen.

That twitter has been removed in the last hour or so.

I drove past Viage and asked the lady at the reception whether P was coming tonight, and she said that it was no longer going through as well for tonight as for tomorrow night after the scheduled concert. That means that a pre- or aftershow at Viage was tentatively planned but has since been cancelled.

So either the extra shows have been cancelled or moved to another venue. I know that in July there were 4 or so venues considered for the event, so maybe they want to hold it somewhere else.

Keep checking N8NMusic's twitter - he's in the know!

I checked the articles from this Nathan guy from in July when he organised the first aftershow, and these were the venues considered

Felixpakhuis Antwerpen

AB Brussel

Viage Brussel

Indigo Studio Vorst

Depot Leuven

so if there is going to be ANY additional show, it will be in one of these venues. As I posted before, it doesn't look like it will be taking place at Viage. I also talked to some of the stage builders at the back entrance of Viage and they didn't know about any show tonight or tomorrow night either. Although they did mention that this doesn't mean anything .. they could still be informed that there will be a Prince show in a couple hours on very short notice. But at 7pm they didn't know anything yet.

This sounds so great! I really hope I get lucky and can be present at one of those fabulous club gigs some day!!!

And by the way, I absolutely love what Prince makes of some songs when he plays them live. For example, "If I was your girlfriend" in Milan, or how he has been playing "Little Red Corvette" on this tour. - I don't even want to listen to the original songs on CD anymore, after having heard those fantastic live versions!! It's fantastic how Prince performs these songs live so that they almost sound like new. biggrin

this is true 2 a point. when hearing a set list and u know the song it can change one's emotions that hasn't heard it quite easily. i look at the setlist and no matter how the song may have been arranged i can get either hyped or roll my eyes at it. now not having heard this show yet, i can get more excited about hearing that he did dreamer, chelsea rogers and some others more than i would if i read that he played delirious or some other song he's done countless number of times.

so yes reading a setlist can change ur emotion or comment "negatively" about the show

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

It was OK at best, they've been rehearsing these songs for the better part of 3 months now...

It was just an open rehearsal/try-out for the US gigs...

I'm not downplaying anything...

They've been rehearsing (with and without Prince) almost every song from the first 5 albums for months now...

Do you really think this bizarre setlist will be used?

It wasn't a setlist, it was just the band rehearsing stuff for the upcoming gigs...

They were going to rehearse anyway so why not make extra cash off of fans by doing it openly...
