izod is 159.50 and msg was 179.50 then they bang ya another 20-30 with all those stupid fees.

i went to go see chris cornell solo and then katrina happened. they raised the price $3 as a mandatory donation. i only give to cancer research or for shelther animals.

well yeah but the ticket was enough. thats a sneaky way to get $$. raise the ticket price and not make it optional. personally i wouldn't build a city where area that floods. if they left that area swampland none of those ppl would be having that problem,would they?? there gonna rebuild their houses and in a few yrs it will happen again. i just don't understand the logic in that.

You do realize how old New Orleans is, right?

Some developers didn't pop up and create it overnight.

I understand not liking the "sneaky" way they raised money, but it was an important cause, and if everyone said no, they would not have gotten any money.

Did they let you know what the charge was for as you purchased? I guess they figured if you don't want it, don't buy a ticket...

i understand there point of view too that if it was optional alot of ppl are assholes and wouldn't care. still pissed me off though even if it was only 3 bux. i dont and wouldn't live in a area with hurricanes and tornadoes. it's like having a death wish or something.they by chioce live there. and then the ppl that stayed and waited it out. come on. if i did live in a area like that i'd have grabbed all the important stuff and went to stay with relatives somewhere else first thing. why should i send my $$ there if their gonna rebuilt only to have to happen again? the world is really big. why built a city in a area that floods?

1 understand you displeasure with the ticket people for adding $3, but do you research before you say people are bitching about what has happened to where they live.

You do realize that there are areas of NJ that are struck by hurricanes and flooded out way more than New Orleans don't you? Bound Brook floods out every few years, as does Manville, and both are rebuilt each time with no real change to prevent it from happening again. And let's not go into all of the shore communities in danger of blowing and/or floating away with the next Nor'Easter because the sandbars have deteriorated so. Anywhere along water can and does flood out in case of a severe enough rain storm. New Orleans isn't the only city built on a swampland, just unfortunately repeated government cutbacks, shady dealings, etc. prevented proper building and care of the levy system. Add to all the chemicals that are killing the marshlands (Same thing is happening in NJ marshlands and Florida Everglades). Almost anyplace can be safe to an extent as long as the right measures are taken, but even all the right measures can't prevent an act of God.

Btw, did you know that NY and NJ is on a fault line worse than the San Andreas fault and when the plates shift the earthquake there will be more devastating than anything that's every hit California?

yes in fact my grandparents live in bound brook and my mom and aunts grew up there.i remember seeing the spraypainted waterlines on all the building in manville. they have a well in their basement. i don't remember hearing about really bad flooding. i have heard the basement had water in it in the past.i remember some baby pictures being destroyed. but thats nothing compared to it being nearly up over the roofs in new orleans. my grandfathers has been trying for years to get outta of that area but my nana didn;t wanna go.then he passed away alittle over a month ago. eventually we will put the house up for sale.

yeah also on rte 29 in trenton going to lambertville. the canal and the delaware.i remember the bad one that flooded alot of the stores in new hope,pa but they had stores in the basements and such. that f'ed up that area for a few yrs and stores were switching locations. it's like rebuilding a sandcastle and up comes the tide! still it cant be compared to flordia/new orleans wuth there insane hurricane seasons..
