Oh great, just what we need, a fucking nails-on-chalkboard, screeching child pretending to sing...

That'll be a waste of an hour in which Prince could've just played something other than the same old shit...

Don't be so negative. Prince will probably play 10 hours in only 48 hours. I think that's quite fair smile

To be honest, I was dead after 6 Am, but I guess Prince could have played longer if he didn't had to leave the venue because the club had the be prepared for another booking the next day. He's 52 but is in better shape than a lot 30, 40 or even 20 something guys.

Wow what a concert it must be!

I'm living in Belgium but unfortunately in Argentina for working.

However I'm following the concert live by phone smile

Also there is a live stream going on!

Shh, She's always in my hair, The Glamourous life, Dreamer, Peach, Forever in my life, ...

Wish I was there...

Hope you all have fun!

This was an amazing concert. This was 10 times better than Werchter. The energy, the atmosphere ... And what a superb setlist!!!

what an amazing concert it was! Special, rare tracks were uptown, lets work (i know they were performed in Milan, but still rare), She's always in my hair and THE LOVE WE MAKE!! omg, took me a minute to recognise it :p

The opening act was pretty cringeworthy, the audience took some warm-up time, some sound issues in the beginning, but what a concert...

will post a longer review tomorrow wink
You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

Report of the Prince concert on Belgia news: http://www.deredactie.be/...a/1.901674.

Mostly reactions of fans before the concert, and a few snippets of Le Freak and Controversy.

It was a really great concert. Antwerp was the funkiest place in the world yesterday cool

Unfortunately, the security services in Antwerp are - as always - not really kind confused

The show was great, he was in a good mode, very funny. The bass guitar fight was superb!

Too bad that the sound was horrible. The last time I was in Sportpaleis (opening with The One, with Candy Dulfer), the sound was pretty good. So it must be a deaf sound technician who has chosen the wrong profession.

We have the best live artist in front of us, 100% perfect, but terrible sound. How the hell is that possible? Isn't anyone from Prince's staff listening?

Hope that the sound in Gelredome will be much better....

Terrible sound? Must depend on where you were seated/standing as to me it sounded perfectly clear. I was at front row where you would expect to have the worst sound but to me it was perfect!

To me the sound was quite ok. Think it will be worse in Arnhem (been there before). And yessss these are the concerts of our Minneapolis friend that we can only hope to experience smile

What a great show. The first 30 minutes were stunning and also the non-usual songs mentioned before by others. I hope he's got the same mood in arnhem next week. The golden circle was very crowdy by the way. Anyone knows there will be a golden circle too in arnhem? And than like the old days to be early and running for the best places?

OMG - I can't believe this setlist!!!! So many songs I would have LOVED to hear in Milan as well:

Dreamer, I Feel For You, Peach, Forever in My Life, The Love We Make, Sometimes it Snows in April eek Fantastic!!! Must have been an awesome concert ... once again!! biggrin

And I even forgot to mention in my first post that to hear SHHHH again would also have been great! I loved that in Vienna!! smile But no complaints, I was happy with the setlist in Milan, too. But this one just sounds especially awesome! Great for you guys in Antwerp!

I was front of the stage, approximately fifth row and had security bulldogs rushing on mobile phones every 5 minutes... so bad confused

But this is not important, it was a wonderful concert. I loved the outdoor concert in Werchter as well (with rain during "Purple rain") but this one was the best.

Hope he'll be back again in Belgium soon...

This was my second Prince concert after Werchter, and man, was he on fire!! I was left speechless by this concert.

The choice of songs was excellent and they were executed brilliantly. I think the highlights for me were U Got The Look, Shhh, Sometimes It Snows In April and finally… The Love We Make. Awe-inspiring song. I was drop-dead silent throughout the whole song. Amazing.

Thank you Prince for this night I'll cherish forever!

She is always in my hair was played full length as well !!!!!! (after Shhh)

So many great moments. Prince solo on bass singing Forever in my life alone, after the song he had a battle with the bands bassist (exuse me for not knowing her name)

After throwing his guitar in the audience earlier, he also threw his bass, anyone caught the guitar or bass in front row and how fast was security to take it back ? biggrin
