Last night LiveNation on FB had a red line through the MSG dates, with "SOLD OUT" in red.

Nothing was mentioned about additional dates.

Hopefully they open another date for MSG. Those fans that thought Prince couldn't sell out an arena, should get the plate out and start eating crow. lol

If i had chosen to i could have bought a pair of $750 VIP table seats for the 29th this morning. I also had a single $500 VIP seat for the 15th in block J i believe. At tht price you would think it would b the best view in the world but actually remembering the same symbol stage was used for The 02 shows in 2007 you have the drummer and his kit in your direct view so would actually hardly see much of Prince at all. Crazy huh!

Exactly, and he not only sold at 1 show at MSG, but both. He still has it going on with NYC. The way this was promoted, everywhere from radio stations, online news organizations, unofficial fan sites, word-of-mouth, etc., in such a short period of time, was very successful. I hope they open another night in MSG since these 2 shows are sold out. I was surprised there wasn't a show at Nassau Colisseum, but MSG is easier for people to travel to, than Nassau Coliseum.

MSG is definitely NOT sold out! Live Nation just need to fill a bit more now the IZOD. Then, they will probably add one or two more MSG dates but, in less than a couple of weeks, you will have more seats available for the 18 and 29. Just wait a little bit...

I was just thinking...

A lot of people like the "draw" of NYC.

But if they haven't been to the IZOD Center, they're missing out. It's a nice venue, and the acoustics are better than MSG.

Someone said she almost cried when accidentally hit one of the NJ shows. We're not that bad... wink

I do understand that sometimes New Yorkers don't have cars, so it's not as easy to get out here. But people from out of town who have to travel no matter what- don't sleep on Jersey! biggrin

I'm excited to hear what the Izod Center has to offer! (I'm just hoping it's easy to get to! I've heard there's a bus from the train station, so I'm banking on that.)

I have two spare tickets for sale to the Izod on Dec. 15th. They are on the floor, section 7, row M. I am willing to sell them at face value, minus ticketmaster fees. I would hate to let them go to waste. The Izod is a great venue, with cheaper hotels, plane tickets, and travel expenses to and from the airport. I found a shuttle service from the Newark airport to Meadowlands hotels for $15. I picked this venue deliberately to save money. If anyone is interested in these tickets, send me an org note! wink

Well, that's because there's probably only some single seats available, every once in a while, especially if some people's credit cards didn't go through, and the seat becomes available. I was checking to see if any was available for 12/18, just to see if anything would pop up, and only once it did, after trying several times. then nothing came up, and I checked on all the ticket slots, when I did it. As it gets closer to the show dates, there will eventually be some more seats available, you just have to keep checking.

No I guess the IZOD center is not bad, but NY has always been a tourist attraction, and it has everything. There's really no need for cars, because there's so much public transportation available all over the city. Fans can take the 351 express from the NY Port Authority, which will take them into the meadowlands, so they should have no problem getting from NY to Jersey to the IZOD center.

Here's the bus info:
Comfortable, reliable and convenient round trip, door to door (no transfers) transportation from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to the Meadowlands Entertainment Complex. Take a Coach USA 351 Meadowlands Express bus for an inexpensive, nonstop trip to all Meadowlands Entertainment events. The 351 Meadowlands Express boards at the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is near many NYC subway and bus connections. Frequent 351 Meadowlands Express buses depart from the Port Authority in Manhattan and take you to the Meadowlands in plenty of time for you to get to your seat. After each performance or sports event, convenient, nonstop 351 Meadowlands Express buses will take you quickly and safely back to the Port Authority for your trip home.
- Round trip: $10.00
- One Way: $5.00

For more information please visit www.351express.com

True. I was there for U2 360 at Giants stadium. That chaotic scene prevented me from seeing them during another weekday next year. I will risk Friday, December 17 for Prince. Plus ,the izod center is 1/4 the size of Giants Stadium. So the crowd should not be as bad. Also, the buses are back. They stopped them for U2

20 bucks for parking

9 bucks for the gwb

and x amount for the new jersey turnipike

that's almost half of the ticket price in addition 2 the ticket price tho

AGREED....Ok on the cheaper prices at the IZOD CENTER but to get there costs a fortune. $20.00 to park your car??? THE BRIDGE TOLLS........TURNPIKE TOLLS......GAS and so on.......and to think you did not even walk into the arena yet and then you got the concession stand thing going and the tour books and whatever else PRINCE sells at his shows that everyone will want. With the GARDEN it is a lot more convienent to get to.

Well New Yorkers can catch the 351 coach bus to the IZOD Center, from the NY Port Authority, instead of driving to avoid the tolls and parking fees. Coach bus 351 is $5.00 one way/$1.00 round trip, at the Port Authority.

For those going to MSG; tourists/fans already in the area , near the garden, can just walk a few blocks over to MSG.

Jersey folks, can catch the $5.00 (one way);$10.00 (roundtrip) 351 coach bus, into Manhattan/Port Auithority and walk over 8 to 9 blocks or take a train ($2.25), one stop to 34th Street Penn Station to get to MSG.

How many times is there a show our way vs. shows in NYC?
