Hey Everyone......

WELCOME 2 AMERICA is a LIVE NATION PROMOTION and I have to tell you all that every seat up in the 400's at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN was supposed to be $20.10 for both shows. LIVE NATION decided to take advantage of a PRE SALE for the HARD CORE fans on FRIDAY MORNING and they just did exactly that. THEY TOOK FULL ADVANTAGE OF EVERYONE on the PRE SALE!! I personally was trying to get the CHEAP SEATS at a BARGAIN PRICE of $20.10 so I could be able to go to more than one show due to AMERICA'S ECONOMICAL MESS and how it burdoned my life. FIRST OFF the $20.10 tickets never went on SALE for the PRE-SALE. All of those tickets were held for the SATURDAY PUBLIC SALE and at most. There were only approx 50 or so tickets total for each show available in this PRICE RANGE. BOTTOM LINE is that all of the seats up in the 400's should have been $20.10 and of course that was not the case with LIVE NATION. I was seeing $92.00 PRICES fully skipping over the $61.00 prices for 400 sections with better views of the stage and in truth that was not fair by a long shot. This show is called," WELCOME 2 AMERICA," in the POSITIVE TEXT....not " WELCOME 2 AMERICA," in the NEGATIVE. Also in the PRESALE not all sections were made available to purchase as it truly was limited access. You could not even call in at TICKETMASTER direct and order tickets with an agent. If one was to have any plans on purchasing tickets at all for the PRE SALE then you had to do it online and be up against the LIVE NATION WALL OF $$$$$$. I really could not believe that there were tickets for over $90.00 up in the 400's.....it really blew my mind. Is LIVE NATION aware of our ECONOMICAL CRISIS?

Let me say this...........THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME SINCE I HAVE BEEN A PRINCE FAN THAT I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN FANS TURN AWAY TO GET TICKETS IN DISGUST BECAUSE THE CONCERT PROMOTER CHARGED WAY TOO MUCH FOR TICKETS!! Many i knew like me were more than satisfied getting the cheap seat at $20.10 so they could just be there to witness the PURPLE GENIUS in full EFFECT not to mention to get to go to more than one night. One can only hope that PRINCE makes some changes in the not to distant future with promoters to be a bit more understanding to his fanbase.

Many AMERICAN'S are still out of work and having very difficult times out there hence this is the type of show to bring in a BIG DOSE of POSITIVITY for those who adore PRINCE. These shows are meant to UPLIFT and ENLIGHTEN especally when one was to learn that extremely affordable seats for $20.10 would be made available. Times are very hard right now......STILL despite what many say......so LIVE NATION needed to take into consideration to make all of those 400 sections affordable for those who are strapped for cash. Ok...we understand the cost of putting a CONCERT together in this day and age....but the 400 section should have been $20.10 all the way around. LIVE NATION needs to understand that not everyone can afford a $92.00 ticket these days. I know a few PRINCE fans who will not be able to go to these events due to this high ticket fee and they were sorely disappointed. I personally got very lucky this morning and as soon as I got my $20.10 tickets they were all gone.

FOR NOTE....for those who are going to the IZOD CENTER out in NEW JERSEY the tickets were a bit cheaper in every section for all three performances. I also noticed a TICKETMASTER FEE of $6.55 while the NYC shows had fees for $11.30. Only a few years ago the TICKETMASTER fees were anywhere between $5.00-$7.00. Back in the day in the 90's and 80's they used to be $3.50 at most.

I will conclude with this........EVERYONE WHO WANTED TO GO SEE PRINCE THIS DECEMBER IN BOTH ARENA'S IN THE NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY AREA SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GO...PERIOD. It makes me sad to know that I know a few friends who were so looking forward to seeing PRINCE and now will not be able to go because they will not be able to afford it. Didn't PRINCE say in his PRESS CONFERENCE to bring your children, tell everyone and come to the show often because it is going to be a different experience every night? How can one come often if they could not even afford a ticket for the first show? Also let me say that I am sure that there those out there that did purchase the higher price tickets and really could not afford to go that route at this time...but they did it anyway. I'll bet also that those that did get the higher priced tickets wanted to go to a few more performances, but now will not be able to do that due to the LIVE NATION TICKET HIKES. Again all 400's SECTIONS should have been $20.10 so those who could only afford these prices like myself right now could have gone and had an ENERGY BOOSTER of POSITIVITY!! GOD KNOWS it is well needed for all!!

$200.70-$114.75-$61.55-$31.40...............MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

$31.40 Tickets should have covered all of the 400's.

$61.55 Tickets should have covered all of the 300's.

$114.75 Tickets should have covered all of the 200's and lower.

$200.70 Tickets should have covered the FLOOR and anywhere by the STAGE!!

( FOR NOTE- I understand fully it costs a lot these days to put a full stage production together so to raise the prices a bit for lower seats is more than acceptable but I will tell you that $200.70 is way to EXPENSIVE to see ANYBODY IN CONCERT!!)

Interesting Tuztones. But you forgot to mention the $92 seats was part of the 300 section. I gather the lower 400 section seats were $61.50, and mid-row and higher cost $20.10w/tax $31.40. I would think livenation would not charge any 400 section seats higher than what was advertised, but I guess they did.

i got laid off too so i feel ya!i got the 200ones for all 5

After several hours of trying, I snagged 1 $200 ticket on row 89 on the 29th...I wanted to by 4 tickets at the cheaper levels and bring my friends, but couldn't get any...I guess I will be partying alone!

$92 in the 400s!! Please they were going to charge me $179.70 in the 407 section, not on my watch!

im in ut.. $500 for airline and i found a vip tix for $500 thru ticket master... im debating but i think i might have to pass.... i want to go.. if it would a been a week earlier the airline tix would been half the cost,,, tho the vip tix was very nice .... will see what happens...

You think scrambling to get tix was hard?! Try finding plane tix and accomodations on a budget, even for two shows in NJ! I'm getting too long in the tooth for this!

i wonder how many ppl are actually gonna be from nj/nyc at these shows?

Speaking of New Jersey,...I have two spare tickets for sale to the Izod on Dec. 15th. They are on the floor, section 7, row M. I am willing to sell them at face value, minus ticketmaster fees. I would hate to let them go to waste. The Izod is a great venue, with cheaper hotels, plane tickets, and travel expenses to and from the airport. I found a shuttle service from the Newark airport to Meadowlands hotels for $15. I picked this venue deliberately to save money. If anyone is interested in these tickets, send me an org note!

These NYC show at MSG are going to be AMAZING!! DECEMBER can not come fast enough!!

For those who do not know what PRINCE is all about....get yourself a TICKET and experience the MPLS GENIUS in all his GLORY!!! You will never FORGET!!

I tried to get 20.10 tickets at MSG for the 18th on the presale date and on saturday and were told there weren't any!! All they said they had when I called ticketmaster at 10:05 was 92.00 and the 200.00 tickets. I was like, um no, not 92.00 for 400 seats! That's highway robbery!! That is what I'd like to pay for any level not on the floor. I may just have to miss the MSG show on the 18th unless I find someone selling a ticket for a decent price. At the time, I didn't have 200.00 to spend for the MSG shows when I had already spent 500.00 on the IZOD shows! I was willing to accept a 20.10 seat for the MSG show. I hope it's not too expensive for the rest of the tour...if there is in fact more shows coming!
