What A Shame...

Remember the good ole days when us "ACTUAL" fans were the one's sitting up close to the stage because Prince wanted us to be the one's he could see. We were the ones that appreciated his music the most. We were the one's who knew every song regardless if it was on the radio or not. I could go on and on and on...

So I roll onto Tickemaster this morning and click on the seats closest to the stage. $750.00 a seat. How about just basic floor seating? $500.00 a seat... WTF??

The tour name "Welcome To America" pretty much sums it up...

rember the days when i gave a shit?

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Remember when Prince didn't have to supply all of ya'll with Midol and Tampax to hush up all the G-D bitching and moaning.

Just because you get something nice once or twice (hell or more) doesn't mean you have to get it every G-D time. There are no rules, no laws saying that he has to make everything nicey nicey for your G-D whim and desire. His J-O-B is musician not hand holder and caterer of your babyish whims.

Stop the temper tantrums already and enjoy the damn show.

I think the real shame is that none of the shows have even sold out yet! Escpecially the NJ shows. I think this will make him think twice about doing more cities with this kind of line up.

I am sorta glad they ain selling great. Not that it will bruise his massive ego, but hopefully he may understand people don't care to spend that amount of money to see his favorite artists.

I just got two floor seats off of ebay for $525 w/ free shipping. Tried and tried for $200 floor seats on Ticketmaster but those assholes obviously sell all the good seats to scalpers, ticket resale companies, or give them to their friends because they never came up as an option even on the presale day when I logged in promptly at 10am. Try ebay...you'll find some decent tickets on there; you just have to look. What I don't understand is how these mofos can put prices like that on tickets for a show that isn't just Prince? Most of the other acts aren't even revelant to many people so Prince had better bring it.

NY shows are sold out and not much left for NJ.

eek I can't believe they sold out already for NY. Only cheap option now is ebay unless someone gives resales you some tickets. They have a nice set of floor seats on ebay right now for $525 for section 22 which is right at the tip of the arrow (bottom half of the symbol) for anyone looking for good seats. Looks like the best sections (besides the tables and the letters) are 21,22,23, and 20 because you get to see the whole stage and don't get blocked by the band which is more than likely going to be in the circle part (head of the symbol).

I'm still finding four seats together in the 100s sections for the NJ shows.

I agree it is a shame, and a lot them will be bought by scalpers. But hey hoo thats what it’s like now, places like ticketmaster, ebay etc are making their money off the scalpers too, so it will never be stopped and the artists, promoters don’t care who buys them as long as tickets are being sold.

I was shocked too seeing $750 and $500 tickets. All that just to be closer to the stage and then an extra $250 just to have a table! lol Its madness.
