yes, you are right about that. I was sitting front row and was sitting too close to the stage. The vips at the tables couldnt see anything but most of them didnt bother as they only were there for the champagne..

Why would you want to go to a Prince gig, in fact any gig, and sit at a table?

I don't understand all the hate for Larry Graham. He is a wonderful musician.

Well, I don't "hate" him but he's a bit too present around Prince for my liking ( he ain't THAT great either...).

And some people feel that it's been a bit downhill since P started working with Larry...maybe a break would do everyone good.

Not that great?! disbelief

Anyway...

I'm more concerned about getting "stuck" with some of the other artists...

And even that isn't that serious. I'm just glad to be going.

I don't think people should continue blaming Larry though, for Prince "changing". Maybe people need to understand that apparently, Prince was at a point in his life where he wanted change and took the intiative to do so. Secondly, fans don't have a right to tell Prince who he should become personal friends with, based on their own selfishness. Fans don't own Prince. Many admired/and continue to admire and appreciate his music and stage performances, over the years, but fans don't own his personal life or have any right to impose on it. I think it's time many fans learn to separate the man they see performing on stage, from the man off stage, and focus on their own personal lives and who they choose to befriend. In any case, I intend to enjoy the Welcome2America tour, regardless of who the artists are performing on the night of the show.

I don't think anyone is telling Prince who he should be friends with......we are just pointing out that P losing his mojo seems to have coincided with the arrival of Larry in his life!

And, yes I repeat, Larry is a good musician but no he isn't THAT great.

These days, outside of our little ( and getting smaller) Prince world, most people would be hard pressed to tell you who Larry is or name one of his songs!

But, yes, enjoy the shows anyway......you can always go for a hotdog during "Everyday People"

I don't agree with the JW stuff.

But that isn't the reason I don't want to see Larry Graham.

I just don't like his music. I can't stand his voice. I can't stand his white suits. And the audience zones out every time he comes on or when prince goes into the LG medley.

Furthermore, this guy has turned up at four different shows that vie been to. I feel like I am cursed!

I hope the spotlight on new acts is just them as opening acts. I really hope it is a straight up prince show with songs like 'the love we make' 'thy will be done' 'mountains' etc
