hence i loved the gold experience era ..that song was NO where 2 be found but only in the purple medley ..shit he needs 2 bring back the purple medley and just play that 4 the hits and work the rest of the show for new material man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Two questions:
1) Does anyone have the setlist for the aftershow at Amager Bio?
2) Are there any likely venues for an aftershow in Herning?
...less than 12 hours to the Herning koncert! Can't wait!

Best quote during the evening was Prince: "Give it up for Andy! He's freestyling with the lights tonight" which was said when the light guy wasn't ready with the spotlight at the right point in time.

Lol, i remember my partner at the time moaning about the songs played when we attended the Gold Experience shows in the UK. Of course i was loving it. The Purple Medley is a great idea. The thing is, a set played with new or more obscure material would probably have to be in smaller venues, which is an excellent idea too.

About Copenhagen.
In the thread for Herning, someone stated that the setlist was boring, and when I look at it right now it think the same. But the setlist and the actual concert is not the same thing since you miss much information. I was at Forum and my opinion is that the concert musically was great. He did a lot f songs, he did them long enough to get into them and he did a lot of jams/grooves that sometimes draw the conert into a feeling of an aftershow. Also he did many of his own songs, to compare with Roskilde, which had a lot of covers, good ones though but it's always interesting to hear him make his own songs in new ways. Both If I was your girlfriend and Sometimes it snows in april was very good and long enough. In the queue I met two danish women that ahd never been to a Prince concert but they liked him anyway. One of them said that her favourite was "Sometimes..." and I thought and said to her that it wouldn't be likely that he playd it because he rarely does, unless in medleys somtimes, and this time he really played it whole and good with the audience, mainly the women sang along in the refrain in a lovely way. That was a beutiful moment! The Copenhagen setlist didn't fit my taste but anyway the conert was fantastic due to his apparently happy mood, the great audience and the grooves. He also presented Ida the new danish bassplayer, which he obviously is proud of and like a lot. "Welcome her to the NPG" he said. Prince and Sheila E is also a great pair at the stage. Sheila is as professional as Prince and they did a love bizarre using the same mic and the glamorous life with Sheila in center position at the stage. The first song, Future soul song, he and sang it beautiful and and put a lot of feeling in to, his voice was clear and soulful. There where some things that I didn't like but the concert as a whole was very energetic, musically great and Prince and the audience in a very loving and happy mood.
Give it up for Copenhagen!

^ great post. I was at both the copenhagen and the herning concert. For me the diffrence wasnt prince or the setlist. It was the audience: the audience in copenhagen were great the audience in herning were plain dull

Gotta love Prince's sense of humor. I'm willing to bet that the light man got his shit together in a hurry after Prince made that comment. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

LOL I think the girl standing next to me wanted to punch me, because when he said that, I was screaming my head off and jumping up and down!!! That was too hot, same thing when he asked during Shhh "am I getting you hot?" I screamed "YES Prince YES!!!" both times and she was like, "ok, calm down really." Couldn't help myself, love those songs and I was just answering the question..
I didn't think it could get any better, but he was more playful and flirty at the Herning show!!! And he showed the chest hair!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I could have died when he ripped that shirt open!!! I hurry up and whipped out my camera and started snapping pics! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Yes it does!!! I was SOOOO excited to hear it and I knew all the words, no one else around really did. The girl next to the right of me was like "you must be a hardcore fan...I like that." She and I were dancing around and screaming all night together, even cried together off of Purple Rain! And during Shhh, we screamed "Prince you are so sexy" together when he said "I'd rather do you after school like some homework..." The girl to the left of us was totally annoyed! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Maybe it was the people I was around, but I found the audience at the Herning show more exciting!! Prince was way more friendly and happy during the Herning show. I thought both shows were amazing, but the people directly around me at the Copenhagen show were kind of lame, not screaming or dancing too much, only 1 girl, thankfully to my right, seemed like a real hardcore fan. At the Herning show, all the girls and guys around were dancing, screaming, and singing!! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol
