I just checked my ticket again today, and I wasn't charged, but some people said they were charged $2.50. There was no charge for Ticketfast on my receipt when I printed it out on my printer. Once you print it out, it will serve as your actual ticket to the show, with the barcode included, when you enter the venue the night(s) of the show(s). If you prefer to receive it in the mail, then choose one of the mail services offered.

You were lucky, then. I have always paid for TicketFast, but I usually choose it because I need to have my tickets in hand- esp. after I had some lost in the mail.

I checked the ticket and all I saw was the price and tax, on the ticket, but no $2.50 fee for using ticketfast. |

It's okay Chocolate. I have never seen a show at the IZOD only because MSG is closer, however my son has been there and said it's a nice venue. I think next spring or summer I'll take a trip and see a show there, just to see what that venue is like. Are the hotels across the street, next to IZOD? How far and about how many are close enough where they don't have to go far to get to the IZOD?

You've been objective...
Some NYers are acting like Prince is going to be "slumming" by playing here- like Prince is SUPPOSED to play there, and that we're a sad consolation.
I love NYC- I go there a lot. But it's nice to not have to deal with Tunnel traffic, crazy cabs, and NYC parking... or be a slave to a train schedule just to see Prince.

I'll be there on the 14th! Wish I could go to the other 2 shows at IZOD but I've got to go into work sometime that week. It's silly that everyone is focused on the MSG shows when you could fly into Newark and get a hotel then shoot over to IZOD Center and then fly out when it's all said and done. I'm looking forward to seeing Prince play there and the 2 MSG shows as well. [Edited 11/3/10 17:16pm] When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! |

I'm going to the 15th and 17th.
I'm a teacher, or I would have done the 14th as well... I've done back to back shows and then tried to teach the next day.... when I was younger.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with him playing the Izod... I've seen a few big shows there including Janet and Madonna.... I just think that had Usher not had 12/14 and 12/15.. Prince would have snatched those dates up... I will be in Jersey for 2 of those shows and catch the 2 shows in NYC |

But you're still assuming that NJ was just a "last resort".
I am frustrated, because if you read thru these W2A threads, not all people have not been kind about the NJ shows. I understand that NYC is a tourist trap, but NJ is not a horrible place. This is our home... Prince is not "slumming" by playing here.
We go into the City without blinking, but people are acting like it's such a hardship to come here.

jersey is nothing like all those stupid reality shows make it out to be. ok alot of us have some italian background but we all not have big poofy hair and orange fake tans. we don't live in clubs nonstop all being drunk. it doesn't smell here. the only sucky thing are the ridiculous property taxes and the roads needing to be repaired cause so many ppl live here and travel them.
yes we are all loud and obxious.we have attuides and know how to see em. so proud to live not far from where house md is set.
we do though have the best pizza and if your ever in trenton get a tomato pie at delorenzo's. your tastebuds will orgasm. |

I didn't mean anything negative by my little investigation...I'm happy he's playing both NYC and NJ.. It's nothing for me to jump on NJ Transit to see a show.. I've done it several times and will be doing it on the 14th and 17th
I just found it a little odd that he does a big press conference in NYC and then NJ wound up with 3 shows and NYC 2 ( plus the liveation announcement made it seem like it was only NYC show's )

Hey, if anyone is looking for inexpensive accomodations, I found the Chelsea Star Hotel, which is literally around the corner from Madison Square Garden. It's pretty much a hostel, but there are private rooms too. It seems to get good reviews, but I guess you never know until you get there. I like hostels when I'm traveling by myself because it's much more of a community experience to get to meet different people. If you are okay with the hostel experience, just want a basic bed to sleep in, I think it would be fun for a bunch of Prince fans to flood this place and hang out. |

Now that NJ/NY shows r officially "sold out" and scalpers on eBay and such are asking crazy prices, does anyone think more shows will be announced?
Or possibly an additional series of AFTERSHOWS to the concerts already planned or maybe even some intimate club gigs on off nights between 12/18 & 12/29
got Prince? |
