Problems for the swedes were that they didn't think they could fill a venue big enough in order to compensate Prince. But they worked hard, looked at smaller venues and maybe 2-3 shows (easier to validate high ticket prices). Globe arena wasn't an option (too big), but Cirkus was a close call as I understand it. Best small concert venue in Europe. Could have been a classic. Are you reading? I know you are.

I don't think that will happen. Helsinki and Antwerpen are now officially cancelled. Prince's promoters sent the information to organizers today. Obviously that was the case right at the beginning. There were no plan to postpone the concerts like we already guessed. No real explanations were given by Prince's team.

This means Prince won't ever perform in Finland. No one dares to take a risk with him again.

No, it won't happen. It's too late now. Logistically the gig would have to be tied to the gigs in Norway/Denmark. The original travel plan was Finland-Sweden-Norway-Denmark. That is why the initial rumors said it would be a "northern Europe" thing. But with too little interest and too little cash, we now see more of Europe included, even Italy, which is far from "northern Europe". In the end it became a hit and miss thing where anyone offering the cash asked for got a show. Well, except Helsinki.

Even I'm not surprised at all, I'm mad as well. It means we won't see Prince in Finland...ever. This time he definitely lost hundreds or even thousands of Finnish fans.

One of them, was my 11 years old daughter. I'm use to this kinda unprofessionalism with Prince, but younger generations expect more from their favorite artists these days.

Next time he releases an album, maybe we should all just download it illegally????

Althought it'll probably be CRAP like most of his recent output so let's not waste our time......

Keep dreaming...apparently he won't be in Scandinavia for awhile. Especially not in Sweden or Finland. Swedes "don't have" the money Prince is asking and Finns won't take risk with Prince anymore. So... bye, bye Scandinavia.
