The tickets stay valid. The reserved seats as well as the VIP tickets will be exchanged with suitable seats directly at the venue on the day at the performance.
Standing tickets and wavebreaker tickets won’t have to be exchanged.

I'm so pissed off!!!! Already booked train tickets and hotel in advance. Would have been a nice three days stay in Linz. Have to pay 50% cancellation fee now. Is Monsieur going to deduct that from the ticket price? 'course not.

A outdoor concert would have been great. But now I only have to use my feet to go to the concert.

Superstar auf Geheimbesuch

(21.07.10) Prominente Gäste ist man in der Gastwirtschaft „Floh“ gewohnt. Dass sich jedoch einmal der Musikstar Prince höchst persönlich nach Langenlebarn „verirren“ würde, hätte Besitzer und Chefkoch Josef Floh vermutlich nicht einmal zu träumen gewagt. Benannte der langjährige Prince-Fan doch sogar ein Gazpacho nach seinem Idol.

LANGENLEBARN (cog). Nicht nur eingefleischte Prince-Fans waren letzte Woche in Aufruhr. Immerhin wurde spekuliert, dass der Star rund um seinen Auftritt in der Wiener Stadthalle eines seiner legendären Geheimkonzerte abliefern würde. Hunderte Fans warteten vergebens.

Haubenküche statt Geheimkonzert
Anstatt wie kolportiert am Tag vor seinem Konzert die Ottakringer Brauerei zu bespielen, ließ sich Prince Rogers Nelson („Purple Rain“, „Kiss“) samt Freundin und Leibwächter aus der Hauptstadt hinein ins beschauliche Nieder-österreich chauffieren. Sein Ziel: die Gastwirtschaft Floh in Langenlebarn.
Wirt und Küchenchef Josef Floh bestätigt den prominenten Gast gegenüber dem Bezirksblatt. Aber: „Mit dem Management wurde Stillschweigen darüber vereinbart.“ Selbstredend, dass ein solch prominenter internationaler Besuch nicht lange ein Geheimnis bleibt, und so sickerte aus der Küche des Langenlebarner Lokals doch einiges über den Abend, an dem der 52-jährige Prince seine Aufwartung machte.

Knapp zwei Stunden bevor er Montagabend letzter Woche gegen drei viertel zehn Uhr mit seiner Begleiterin in dem Haubenlokal auftauchte, kündigte das Management die Stippvisite telefonisch an. Platz fanden die amerikanischen Gäste im letzten Raum, gut abgeschirmt. – Geordert wurden gebratenes Gemüse, das der Vegetarier Prince in Butter glasiert und mit ein paar Gnocchi ergänzt serviert bekam, sowie für seine Freundin gebratener Fisch (Saibling) mit Risotto. Nach nicht einmal einer Dreiviertelstunde soll der Spuk auch schon wieder vorbei gewesen sein. Kein Smalltalk mit dem Chef des Hauses, kein Wort in Richtung Küche. Dazu gab’s Wasser.

Gazpacho als Hommage
Was den Musiker zum „Floh“ verschlagen hat, ist nicht bekannt. Auch Josef Floh zuckt, dazu gefragt, nur mit den Achseln. Schade jedenfalls, dass Prince keinen Blick in die Karte gewagt hat. Dann hätte er den Gazpacho, eine kalte Gemüsesuppe, entdeckt, der den Namen eines seiner Hits aus den frühen 80er-Jahren, „Little Red Corvette“, trägt und mit einer kleinen Matchbox-Corvette serviert wird. Eine Kreation des Küchenchefs als Hommage an den Künstler, der sich damit im Vorfeld des Österreich-Konzerts als großer Prince-Fan outete.
„Ihr seid in diesem Moment am besten Platz der Welt“, mit diesen Worten brachte Prince die Stadthalle samt 14.000 Besuchern zum Start des Konzerts zum Kochen.

Am besten Ort der Welt
Im Publikum auch der Mann, der ihm tags zuvor das Abendessen zubereitet hat. Josef Floh gibt sich gerührt: „Das Konzert war wirklich unglaublich. Ich habe fast eine Viertelstunde nur geweint.“ Das Schicksal hat es gut mit ihm gemeint. Wäre er am Montag doch fast in Erwartung eines Geheimkonzertes zur Ottakringer Brauerei gepilgert – und hätte damit den Gast seines Lebens im eigenen Restaurant versäumt. Aber so waren – zumindest für den Langenlebarner Koch – sowohl am Montag als auch am Dienstag alle jeweils besten Platz.


ZUR SACHE
Ausgezeichnet
Dass man in der Gastwirtschaft „Floh“ gut essen und trinken kann, wird weniger durch den Besuch einer internationalen Popgröße bewiesen als vielmehr durch die Auszeichnungen, die sich bei Josef Floh schon fast stapeln: Erst kürzlich ist er innerhalb von nur einer Woche mit dem Vineus-Wine-Culture-Award als bestes Wein-Gasthaus Österreichs sowie mit der Trophée Gourmet (Kategorie: Publikumstrophée), dem „Oscar“ der heimischen Gastronomie, ausgezeichnet worden.

Anscheinend hat´s auch jemand anders schon gewusst bzw. erfahren: Da sich jemand mit dem Namen "Udo Huber" auf derfloh homepage /Gästebuch eingtragen und zwar am 13. Juli....

So Prince didn't try any wine !? But we have really very delicious wines here in Austria, he should try a glass next time ! I'm keeping some bottles of "Purple Xtreme".....

first of all big thanx to Serious for posting this newspaperarticle.it was as far as I know the only one in Austria and only in regional newspaper.

after reading this Í called the restaurant and reserved the same table that Prince was sitting at and got it. so we were dining there and I have to admit that the restaurant is TOP and now I understand why it was recommended to P´s management , even when `Langenlebarn ` not really is a hot spot . for Prince it was ideal because there he could be quite sure not to be awaited by journalists.

food is xcellent there and so the book ( !! ) of wines , prices up to eur 2300 per bottle.

the staff told me afterwards that they were informed very shortly before Prince arrived.the restaurant was filled with `normal `guests who didnt recognize WHO entered at this moment. Prince had sunglasses on and moved quickly as the other 3 persons to the room thats reserved for nonsmokers ,in which other guests were also dining. after only 45 minutes the dinner was over and Prince had vegetables accompagnied by water.

so for all who want to dine ( extraordinary ) on the same table as Prince did just call the Floh.

prince was away from the imperial on 12-JUL-2010 for a mere 55 minutes - and within that time he did visit the porgy & bess - so he could not make the drive to langenlebarn and eat there

i saw him leaving and i saw him coming back - and inbetween there was 55 minutes
