I tweeted to Slingshot_UK saying Prince people say no dates planned and I got a private message back saying " Well hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised!

That would be AMAZING! Strange that Slingshot don't have a website though, but let's keep our fingers crossed.. I also got side view seats to see Crowded house years later and was brilliant. If he does the arena I'm going for side view without hesitation, sometimes they are cheaper and can buy them last minute too. Would like to believe "something else" is possible, but all hints from band members they are going back home next week.

My information comes from slipshot, but i'm never convinced about a concert taking place until I am sitting in the arena and the lights are dimming. I've had too many cancellations in the past Sign Of The Times Tour, Blenheim Palace and Dublin !!!
Did you know that a concert is never confirmed until the artist signs to say he will appear that night. That is the reason that if you got to the O2 early that you could buy tshirts but tour programmes are not available until around 630 once the artist has signed !!!
Here's hoping.

so an announcement is set for 2nd August yes? any ideas whether it will be a bigger venue ie 02, Wembley arena or stadium, or a smaller venue like the Hammersmith Apollo
hope its a bigger venue as i have never seen prince live and want all the biggest songs haha | |

I always think with rumours like this, and the way Prince has worked recently that if he was going to do something, it would pretty much be announced as soon as it's 'agreed'. To say they're not announcing something for another 3-4 weeks surely doesn't really make sense.
