So was you there?

If not does it matter as how many from Portugal came to the O2.

Yes. The audience was a mixed bag, as was the festival bill, and not filled exclusively with Prince fans. This seemed to me worked surprisingly well. Prince was in a very good mood, and EVERYBODY picked up on any chant or whatever. The atmosphere was, let's say, "popular" - so was the performance.

It was amazing and special. A festival show, so a limited time span (23:45-01:15), a mixed crowd (not just fans) and the specific environment of the Meco site. (Meco, Sol, Rock and Roll...)

It was dusty and in the middle of nowhere, but quite OK. Affordable drinks, enough room.

P hurried, as it appears, through the first part of the setlist. Then before Ana came on the break was a bit longish. (why?...)

Ana sang in Portugese, which I am still practicing ('muito obrigado...'), so I didn't really understand the lyrics. The Portuguese crowd knew the songs, though.

The rest of the show didn't contain surprises except maybe 'U got the Look' which was played again.

That wasn't my point..it's almost like he can't be bothered anymore..this is Prince not Phil Collins! Let's just throw in a couple of disco covers to keep everyone happy :/

Because I have been a fan since the late 80s and hate to see him coasting along and just doing everything for the $$$$$

Apparently not.

They went to a club in Lisbon named Mussulo. Heard there must be a pic of Prince dancing with Ana Moura, but that's it - no performance whatsoever.

Well...

Rigth after the Prince set (around 01:38 or so?) we made our way to the exit where we gathered (3 people).

Then we arrested the first heaven sent taxi in sight (one!).

We noticed him quite quickly and he brought us to the Lux to discover it was closed and appeared awfully quiet.

Then we went to our hotel (Borges...) and checked the ususal sources. (phone and web)

Nothing.

So we decided to go for a short rest before our plane would take us back to the motherland.

No! ... The night before (Sat.) he's been seen @ Lux, again just nightclubbing, no performance.

The Mussulo "party" took place on Sunday night, after the festival show.

...Man, according to google my hotel was just 450 metres away... sigh...

Apart from Disco Heat this is the same setlist he was hawking back at the o2 shows :/

No, the songs are different arrangements eg completely new and fabulous versions of Let's Go Crazy and Delirious. The Arras show was very different to the O2 shows.
