Yeah, me neither... but I'm with you... holding out hope! Why don't they just forget about Geneve and move that show to Zurich's Hallenstadion?

No! It's only saying "a source close to the matter"... the original dude can't be reached!

Edit: Oh.... wrong article... that was the first one!

The second one:

Didier Tischler - Do not present sufficient guarantees with officials from the Stade de Geneva, the show Prince was "postponed" for the second time

It is, rather, the drama of the summer. Originally scheduled Monday, July 12 at the close of the festivities organized by Frédéric Hohl around the football World Cup in South Africa Praille the rout had already been moved to July 23.

Officially for public transport problems, in fact because of a ticketing clearly inadequate. According to recent estimates, between reimbursements and new buyers, at least 8,000 people had purchased a ticket for the show. The organizers wanted more than 20,000. On Tuesday, the initiator of the event, Daniel S.Quarcoopome was unreachable. Just as those responsible for ticketing Resaplus.

According to our records, the concert of Kid Minneapolis but could nevertheless take place in Geneva. If the conditional is needed for the date, venue is chosen. This should be at the Arena by the end of the summer. We do not know the details.

Ok thats interesting, so there is still a glimmer of hope!

Although Croke Park was a disaster it was different circumstances, Prince never actually agreed to play (apparently).

Surely if ticket sales were poor they could move the venue or SOMETHING so at least us die hards get to see him, but then this is Prince were talking about confused

In one of the articles published on the "Tribune of Geneve" it is mentioned the following company as in charge of the advertising/communication related to the concert:

http://www.b4com.com/en/contact

Just sent an email to ask for further information...

So it looks like its a case of us getting royally screwed OR the report claiming from "sources close to official ones" that the gig is off is a big steaming pile of bullshit.

Im praying for the later but im starting to worry! However no news from the ticket agency is good news i guess? Unless they havent got a fucking clue whats going on either lol

Reimbursements?

DOUBLE reimbursements.

For the useless trip for the 12th.

Then for the 23rd which will now be whatever.

La Tribune de Genève said Prince won't play in Geneva this friday but the concert has been postponed to an unknown date.

They are not sure where the concert is going to take place in the future but they said it will be in the Geneva area (what a joke!). Resaplus.ch does not sell tickets for the show anymore.

Still no OFFICAL news?

Can I cancel my hotel, change my flights, etc?

When they fail, they fail epically, at all disciplines.

2010 is the year of the failing promotor.

Zurich hallenstadion would be great. I´d go there if he would replace the concert to Zurich although

i feel VERY VERY bad for all the others that booked hotels, flights etc. It´s just a BIG shame!

Well, it's three days to the show, so they can't mail shit out anymore.... they usually close online sales a couple of days before the show, so that doesn't have to mean anything!

Well La Tribune de Genève and 20 minutes report that the gig is not going to happen this friday, so I guess you can reasonably cancel

everything. If you want an official confirmation, you might call resaplus: 0900 552 333 or email info@resaplus.

The outlet thing may be because the scheduled date is too close for snailmailing out further tickets.

But YES they need to communicate.

How can this cancellation be known in the rumour circuits and not be in the news TODAY?

Thats why im still holding out some kind of hope - We all know rumours spread like wildfire, anyone can "report" a cancellation of a gig and a million others will follow soon after..

Again im STILL waiting for something official and in concrete. Have emailed Resaplus so will see what (and if) they come back with..

Resaplus just sells the tickets.

They don't know much more, perhaps even less, than we do.

You need to contact the promotor.
