People, why all complain. I only saw him 9 times!!
You're all blessed that you've seen him before 1990, but my mommy wouldn't allow me to go back then...
We can be happy that he was nearby Holland!!
I am! | |

'Only' 9 times. You get satisfaction from numbers? I also started seeing concerts in 1990. Do I complain? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

It is obvious why Prince played at Werchter Boutique. The festival was build around the Prince show and the location can be reached from Holland and Germany within a few hours drive.
The Werchter show was my 20th Prince concert since Rotterdam 1986.
Dragging out some good old Let’s go crazy, 1999, Little red corvette to get the crowd going is the easiest way to make cash fast and Prince had a hard time enjoying him self while doing so. I have never seen him so lost in his own music on stage, there was simply no way the Werchter show was Prince worthy show.
The artist that could make the difference between a good performer and a top of the bill showman did not show him self in Belgium.
What remains is a great entertainer resting on his repertoire that made him famous like so many other artist do (who can blame him). Even though I very much miss the songs like SexyMF and Get Off, Get Wild and P-Control but those days are gone and will never return since he is a strong follower of the Jehovah religion.
But respecting that, I think Prince could come up with a more suprisingly set list: Example: Fury Computer blue 5 women Strange relationship Blue Light Controversy Kiss Raspberry baret Te amo corazon Diamonds and pearls I would die 4 U Purple Rain One of us Live 4 love (with Shelby J doing the Tony M part) Housequake
Just to name a few.

But you only want him to play those songs because you like them..what about everyone else..and if you check the setlists he is actually playing most of those songs so sorry I am a bit confused..I can't see himever gonna playing Blue Light or Live For Love again and Tony M does NOT need replacing he is\was a legend.

What is with all the complaining on this site??? You saw the guy 30 times, and now you complain you can't see him again? Come on now! Besides, Belgium is so close, if you really wanted to see him, you could have. And than you close your post with "he plays kinda lame"....well, be glad you didn't see him than!

So right! U say what I've been trying 2 say 2 some people here 4 a while. (And really, this show was way better than the Gold Exp show in '95 when he refused 2 play hits and we didn't know the songs because the album wasn't released. And I've enjoyed it more than the Act I tour or the NPS concert..) Love4oneanother
