Werchter show ... let's get the place fired up!

The Belgian crowds are notoriously .... relaxed. Last weekend was the Rock Werchter festival and the crowds were really mellow.. probably has something to do with the high temperatures, but still.eek This can be interpreted in two ways (a), the belgian fans really listen or (b) the fans are just lazy bast*rds who don't care to move their asses

Temperatures are expected to be again around 30°C , (although in the evening after the sun sets it will be a few degrees lower), so the crowds will probably be even more subdued due to the heat.

So orgers, all of us who are going to Werchter, clap, dance, scream, shout ... let's set the place on fire.

I would hate it if Prince only plays 12 songs and then calls it quits because the audience is too lackluster!

Don't worry ! In spite of the fact it's going to be another hot day out there (as Heidi said, temperatures may have gone down a bit when Prince starts performing and - unfortunately - there may be a thunderstorm), the Belgian fans do know how to get up and dance. (Those who won't, will probably be the ones who got a ticket and decided to attend the concert because they have no other place to go this saturday or those whose ticket has been paid for by some company (aren't they the (so-)called VIP's...?).

But there is something you should know about Belgians, though. They're not extremely extravert types anyway, but when they get passionate about something (or someone !) they mean it ! I remember, when Prince toured Europe in '86 and did his very first concert in Belgium, some journalist wrote about how Prince got fans really excited everywhere he went but the fact that he managed to get a crowd of "reserved" Belgians to go absolutely crazy, that really proved how great he was/IS !

Personally, all I need to go nuts is hear him say : Hello Belgium !!

Yes, it's gonna be a beautiful night !

Definitely expect a lot of Dutch people on Saturday! We are with a party of 6, Golden Circle. And we will be in a good mood, given that we play the World Cup soccer final the next day biggrin

NB: Would be nice though to have some info on when it starts and what the order of bands will be.

No, there are no seats. Golden Circle is only standing but it's in the front of the stage so you have a good view on the stage and you are really close to the stage!
