Only 12000 Tix already sold for Berlin http://www.open-report.de/artikel/Bisher+nur+12+000+Karten+für+Prince-Konzert+verkauft/65818.html
The articel says that 12000 Tickets were sold for the Berlin Show. Capacity of the Venue is 22000.
it´s a little sad...
Berlin (ddp).

Sad...how can people miss a living legend???? They watch so much crap on TV, live music that is not live or average musicians.... and then there is one concert in germany and it is not sold out....it`s a shame and i feel sorry for the people who don`t know what they are missing.....
Okay..enough.... A lot of us are gonna be there and it will be funky^^

Maybe the bad economy is finally biting the music industry worldwide and its even affecting performers like Prince!!

Hopefully for those 12,000 he will put the stage in the middle and rock like hell! I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

Yes, and about 2300 people will fill the Innenraum at the Waldbühne and treat on each others toes...

That is complete nonsense reporting unfortunately. Just a news source looking for a story. The concert is now sold out - that's official.

I do not think it is sold out. Just have a look at www.eventim.de. There are more than 50+ tickets for every section.

Regardless of the current state of sales, when is the concert exactly? I'm sure it will be closer to sold out (if it's not already) by the day of the show.

Well he could just cancel at the last minute, whats the worst that could happen?

Fellas. 12.000 Tix are not that bad. Just look at those prices. There´s no new album out (yet) and very little Promotion so far. most of those "big names" announce their concerts often one year ahead and don´t get 12.000 people to see their concerts. I´m impressed... and this is not the 1980ies!

Big names from the 80's like: U2 Madonna Bruce Springsteen?
The still sell out, no problemo.

I think there are many reasons why it´s not sold out. First of all the ticket prices. But also being unpredictable has it´s price. Prince hates being predictable. People always want to know before whats happening. They don´t like surprises. But the surprise makes a Prince concert so special. Remember 2007. Or 1992 He was standing on the roof of the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle in Hamburg with Rosie Gaines and a megaphone shouting to the waiting crowd "What r u waiting 4?". Prince concerts are special and full of surprises. And this is why I love Prince and his music! [Edited 7/2/10 1:12am]

Yeah!!! Can we all spell C R O K E P A R K, D U B L I N ???????????

Right. If he would do the O2 Arena, then it would be almost sold out with 12.000. Same with Vienna, where 13.000 tickets are sold.
He should do venues with 10.000 to 14.000 capacity - then every concert would be a sell out - and no one would complaine. These 20.000 + venues are just a little bit too big for him nowadays.

For the concert business it is a bad year this summer...many cancelled gigs in the us and poor selling shows.... people complain about the high prices... And Prince didn`t anounce the tour much ahead....^^ In London or with the musicology tour he proved he can sell out big venues till 20000-30000 people....Croke park sold well, too.... I just think there isnt enough promotion and the prices were too high....
One more big reason is the soccer world cup....i remember in 1990 he and other acts were having problems too on selling out tours during the summer in 1990 ( soccer world cup in italy)
