Aftershows Denmark/France/Belgium? What do you think the chances for aftershows in Denmark, France and Belgium are?
Usually the concert venues are in big cities with lots of cool clubs to choose from for a "2nd gig that nite", but this time around it's very small towns or out in the woods, so will he skip the aftershows or head back to Paris or Copenhagen for a possible late-nite surprise gig? Prince playing at festivals is so rare, I can't recall any similar aftershow situations... What do you think? [Edited 5/16/10 15:58pm]

I'm for once no too optimistic regarding the possibility of aftershow(s) for any of the three announced gigs. Not that I have any info or facts to hold on to, but I just don't see it happening, being very small towns as Discie points out.
The idea of Prince and the band having a lift from Arras to Paris at midnight for yet another performance doesn't sound like realistic at all. In recent years it was more like in case of aftershow performances these took place @ the club around the corner, not like miles away from the main gig. However, ANYTHING could happen!

I'm not hopeful for a show after Arras because he's playing the next day at Werchter. Maybe after Werchter or the North Sea Jazz festival though.

Hi Orgers. After Arras or Werchter there is a strategical city that Prince should hit for an after show : BRUSSELS of course!
Prince has visited the european capital around the years 1992 after his show in the Sportspaleis in Antwerpen. The gig took place in a old 50's cinema called "le Mirano Continental"i know well because it is a trendy big capacity disco.. I know couple of people that has attend to his master's gig and had made their opinion about the artist since then. I think it would be appreciated if he shows up here once more, as i know Brussels's full of music lovers. Eric Brussel

I think it would be appreciated if he shows up here once more, as i know Brussels's full of music lovers. This was in 1993 after his concert in Ghent (Flanders Expo). His visits in Antwerp's Sportpaleis were in '87, '88 and 2002. But indeed, that's the only aftershow he performed in Belgium I know of. Except for the 1995 show at Brussel's Forest National, the day after his Ghent concert. It was announced as an aftershow/second show. He did make some late night appearances after other Belgian shows at "Het Magazijn" in Ghent (1998) and the "Red And Blue" in Antwerp (2002), but no performance. Back in 1998, he even went shopping downtown Ghent for underwear, the day after his concert . The shop manager didn't even recognise him . There are a few venues in Brussels for an aftershow, the "AB" being the best one. In Ghent there is "De Vooruit". Those venues would suit the atmosphere for an aftershow very well and the sound in those venues isn't bad at all. I would have to check their agendas to see if anything is going on there on that day already.

If he is to play an aftershow in Belgium, it's very, very likely it'll be in Brussels.
The capital Brussels is 35 km from Werchter and it has a score of fine venues. The AB (Ancienne Belgique) is a very suitable venue, as is the "Beursschouwburg" and "Kaaitheater"(former Luna Theater). All venues are free on the 10th, so anything is possible. I do hope he doesn't choose The Mirano again ! I have terrible memories about that place and the aftershow he did there was one of his worst,IMHO.

I think in Paris he'll play the Bataclan for 17 dayz

Anything new on this one? Doesn´t look like Prince plans an aftershow on any of his tour dates, except in Paris maybe.
But if some1 has any news, i think many would be very happy for some more infos

I think it is more likely that football will actually go home - the mantra of the English (football's coming home) every time there is an international tournament. They won the world cup once in 1966.
There has been no presale, pretty much the norm these days AND what are the logistics for people to be able to get there via public transport - ie most of us - I don't think they are good.
However, a hit n run is potentially on the cards and Brussels does make sense.
But when did what makes sense ever happen.
Berlin would've made sense for there to be an aftershow but just as in 2002 there was no show, Prince appeared at the party, yeah, but didn't perform.
Don't get your hopes up and then you won't be disappointed.
Maybe a promoter could do a tour of aftershows (yes I know technically they wouldn't be aftershows but my point stands).
I go all over the place for the aftershows. I see the concert as a kind of bonus.
I wish Prince would drop his commercial performances to please, well I'm not sure who? It's not really like the past anymore. Those that are going to these shows are in the main diehards so his commercial sets really are geared towards a minority.
Prince obviously doesn't do much market research either qualitative or quantative. Life is perfect when you are content with being
