Any Prince fans around Lisbon ???

I'm making the Super Boc festival for the Prince gig. Just bought my ticket and I'm currently booking flights from the north of Spain. But I have a few doubts regarding the best choice for accomodation. I'm considering booking an hotel in Lisbon City ... Or is it wiser to look around Sesimbra or the festival area? ... Are there any trains or buses running from the festival once it's over back to Lisbon?

...Any ideas are welcome.

Muito obrigado!

Cool !

Let's see if we gather some info from people who went to the festival previous years. Checked accomodation in Sesimbra and apparently all hotels are sold out already. I'd rather stay in Lisbon than @ the fest camping, and my main concern is... are there any train or bus running back to Lisbon after the concerts ???

Any piece of advice is welcome smile

Does anybody have an idea about the exact festival terrain location?

It's near the Meco village, but after that it is kinda vague to me.

cabeço da flauta

Hello,

By google maps the place of the festival (Cabeço da flauta)is 10 m by car.

I read that the organisation provides free transportation from Aldeia do Meco. biggrin

Hotel do mar is 30 minutes, i would suggest that you stay the weekend in Sesimbra, it´s very beautiful, a fisherman village, you can eat fresh fish.

Hey tiz, thanks for the tip!

I'm considering staying in Lisbon City instead of Aldeia do Meco or Sesimbra. Would you say that's a good idea? ... I'm worried about transportation back to the hotel and so. Will the fest offer some buses or something back to the city?

HI,

Regarding the transportation it´s possible going by train (Fertagus) From Lisbon (Areeiro) to train station (Coina), then catch a bus to Sesimbra.

Also you can take a bus from Lisbon (Praca de Espanha) to Sesimbra, there you can take direct to the venue. the problem is to return, is not yet know whether there will be transport back to Lisbon.

According Blitz (newspaper) says that if the intention is to return home after the festival is best to go by car ....

So i suggest to look a accomodation in Sesimbra.

If there are news, I will inform you.

Thanks a lot for the tip, tiz !

... I just wanted to stay in Lisbon in the hopes of a possible aftershow or any other happening ... or maybe do some shopping on Saturday evening. I've been to Lisbon a few years ago and totally loved the city.

I'll check accomodation around Sesimbra then.

THANK YOU, TIZ !!! smile

Also, any people here going to the show by car?

We're looking for a ride back to Lisboa.

So if you can help us, please OrgNote me. Of course we will compensate you for the fuel cost.

Tiz you say that Hotel Domar is 30 minutes from where?? I thought this Hotel was in sesimbra??

From what I've read Aldeia De Meco is about a 10 minute drive from Sesimbra so as far as proximity goes that seems to be the best bet...............now the question arises 'AFTERSHOW' (well one likes to hope smile ) with this in mind a better option for this would probably then be staying in Lisbon but thats about 30-40 kms from sesimbra

oh decisions decisions smile

Dori,

Hotel do Mar is located in Sesimbra, 30 minutes of the festival. wink

If you prefer stay in Lisbon here are some suggestion:

Hotel Ibis +- 50 € a night

Hotel Novotel +- 75 € a night

www.ibishotel.com

www.novotel.com

These hotels are located near (Praça de Espanha/Spain squre), where you

can take the bus straight to Sesimbra or a train to Coina (train station).
