Just heard from a friend at the beeb that Prince has been scheduled for the last show. No interview, only a performance - records 17th June - airs 18th June.

It's true and not a rumour.

He's on with Elvis.

Theres usually a 6month wait.. so any tickets requested now have little or no chance of being allocated seeing as his last show is in 7wks time sad

I've requested some anyway just-in-case lol

This does add to the rumour on JR radio show when he said Prince would be touring in June / July ....and look he is ?

Also JR has asked a number of Prince's "friends" if he could have him on the show ...

The BBC have done a few things online with Prince themes so this could be a build up ...

Maybe he's gonna do a one of show in London in July ? - why not ?

biggrin

Yeah. My money is on Hyde Park in July as he seems to be sticking to outdoor gigs. I'd prefer that to Wembley Stadium as the sound there isn't great.

If he does do the JR's show, this would mean hes gonna do a gig too. He's not gonna come all the way over here and just do the JR show and leave again! He may do a little pre-warm up gig for the album, do somewhere like the KoKo etc.

Doesn't look likely now, he's just tweeted that Al Green is playing on the show for the 18th June - and they only ever have one artist play at the end. Unless prince is doing the interview bit?!

Ross is a smug c--t, f--kin hate him. The waste that he is of my licence fee could only be offset by a Prince appearance, but he'll never come back to the UK if dickhead plays up! Up the Boro! Mikey

Wow, serious stuff! I have to say I actually like Wossy. I know what you mean, he can come accross as a bit smarmy sometimes, but I think he offsets it by being really quite self-deprecating. He's actually got a really encyclopaedic knowledge f music too - so mucho respect, I say. (He's a huge Prince fan).

I tune in every week to his TV show and radio programme.

Yep. And Prince. I met him in the bar at the Hammersmith gig in 2002 and he was wearing a Lovesexy tour t-shirt. He'd seen every Prince tour up to that point at the time. I remember being embarassed cos I was meeting a top TV personality and all i wanted to do was talk to him about Prince!
