Hi folks...as I speak fluent french I called them at Live Nation yesterday and I got on the phone kind a receptionnist or so...she was quite disappointed when I asked her about support acts being programmed somewhere else just said "must be an error" and I think I didn't manage the call as I might SORRY...was so embarrassed
Dr Funkenberry could be good idea..

An error on whose side?
I mean: by Live Nation? Larry and Mint Condition? The festival? Thanks for giving it a try! Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Well she tried to justify the all thing by saying there must be an error in Mint's website and added that they (Live Nation ) are going to check this out.
As for Larry she was so shocked she didn't even say a word on it. I don't know what's going on...I think nobody will get a straight answer

I've emailed the venue directly contact@mainsquarefestival.fr but as yet no reply. Doesn't bode well. Arrrrrgghh! I think someone thats fluent in French needs to speak to a booking manager or something, not some customer service person coz they usually know sod all, to find out why they've put the supports acts as playing on that date when their booked to play elsewhere and is Prince 100% guaranteed in playing, if so what prove do you have etc I have emailed them 3 times now and still no response.. Shut up already, damn.

It appears that at the address mentioned at the MainSquare festival site, we need to call up France Leduc Productions. They are linked to Live Nation.
Can anybody confirm? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Hmmm, well Larry's site shows hes playing at Arras main square so thats good news! I think MC myspace has just not been updated, last log in was the 20th April and also there offical site is currently being updated, so even better news! Prince better bloody turn up! Just wish he would give us a sign that he's definately playing tho. FUNKNROLL! "February 2014, wow". 'dre.

I think we should call France Leduc Productions at the address at the Main Square site. The number is in the book.
Ask for the manager and explain the doubts about the programming. I am sure they can explain, sooner or later. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

The address is at http://www.mainsquarefest...index.aspx as is the email. At http://www.pagesjaunes.fr...lanches.do you can do a search for the address. It will show 3 entries. Two of them are irrelevant. The third is France Leduc Productions. Google for that name and "live nation" to confirm. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... Hmmm. Thats not good. But they are only about 10% of the capacity and they are very expensive for an act that has not had a sniff of the charts for 15 years. The key is how many standard tickets they have sold. That will be the indicator for the promoters. .

He doesn't play France too often the past few years and if he does it's not so many shows nor big ones. Last years' were the exception, really. So why the slow appearing sales? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I'm gonna hazard a guess and say: 1. Prince hasn't been a 'pop' act for a long time, meaning P has to rely on his die hard, mainly 'old-school' fans to make up ticket sales. 3. Since the 02 shows in 2007, he's done very little to ingratiate himself to those die hard fans, what with the Lotusflow3r fiasco(s), Croke Park etc. 4. So who's actually left to buy tickets? Us, the few who actually live near enough to the venue that it's worth taking the risk. But I for one felt like a chump after Croke Park, and felt like I'd never 'forgive' Prince, but surprise surprise that selective memory kicked in as soon as I saw the show announced. The worse thing about all of it is that usually I'd be going crazy with glee looking forward to it, but I can't. That used to be half the fun of booking concert tickets - the anticipation...

I got an email off the Livenation(its from the uk one, i sent a email to them and france aswell). Its just a small response back and but nothing of any importance, the rest of it is just the jargon:
Hello Fan, ( not sure why i wasnt addressed by my name, felt it was a bit condesending, kinda knew from that which way this email was going) Live Nation is proud to promote and produce this event, but we are not selling tickets for this show. (ok fair enough it is a uk livenation but i thought they would help it being all the same company and all) We suggest contacting the venue box office... (did that no response) ....or review the artist's web site for more information. ( thats funny) We are always looking for new ways to improve on the fan experience. If you need more help with this or any other question you can reply to this email, contact us by phone at 877.LYV.TIXS (877.598.8497), or find us online at www.LiveNation.com.
