short-breaks eurostar.com - cheap 2 night breaks

We are going to the Arras concert and I have just booked a 2 night break from St Pancras London to Lille with Eurostar, 95 pounds per person for return travel and Bed and Breakfast Hotel 5 mins from Lille train stations. Have checked with RailEurope site and there is a train from Arras back to Lille that leaves at 11:54pm, so am hoping that the concert is finished and we have time to get back to Arras station by then!

I think you will miss the end, if you want that train.

We'll have to wait and see. It would be easier to plan if I knew where the station was in relation to the venue in Arras. I haven't gotten around to checking on that yet.

Thanks for the info grizzy.

The concert starts at 8, so I can't see Prince being on stage before 9.30 at the earliest, so I think its 50/50 on the train times.

Personally, I'm holding off booking anything until there is official confirmation from Prince that the shows are on.

Looking on the maps I would guess the station in no more that a 10/15 min walk from either the Citadel or main square.

I read on a French site today there would be a special price of 5 euros for the train from lille to the concert - dont know how to get these though.

I think this is very sensible, especially after the irish debacle!! I, however, decided to throw caution to the wind, and only time will tell if this was a foolish move! My best friend is going to be very mad if it is a 'no show', as we've already spent 200 pounds each on tickets, travel and accommodation!!!!
