A French journal only made a poll who they would like to see perform in an open air festival in arras (north of france)...Prince tops the poll, but it was only a poll. Nothing else...pity though....

Rumour seems to be gathering momentum. But the headliners for this festival have already been announced - Black Eyed Peas/Pearl Jam/Rammstein. So I'd be surprised if he plays it.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but not only has this festival's headliners been confirmed, it's already sold out! What news exactly are we waiting for?! There's a wiff of Woolfy-ness about this thread! neutral

Hi Lévis

Bit confused as to why you posted this link?

The Maceo dates in France are a bit old news.

Well it is true, it is confirmed for the insiders. My auntie is handling the toilets at the Cactus festival in Brugge, Belgium and she and her colleagues where just updated by the logistic manager of the festival: they have to handle a special bathroom on wheels for Prince and band: Sheila E., Mavis Staples, Wendy & Lisa and others on July 11th. Because of my aunt's reliability proven during former concerts (she never ever leaked a drop of confidential information and offered all the greats from the business her lavatory services) she was asked to stand by at the French Arras-concert with the same line up as well. Prince will play all his biggest hits for the last time ever and all the people who where members of the Lotusflow3R fan site get the special offer to buy tickets for luxury wine&dine-seats with finger food and Prosecco as much as they want for only 3121 dollars and that includes a renewal of their live time membership of the NPG Music Club and a free cd-box with 14 marvellous cd's stuffed with new music from the vaults of the artist inspired by the infinite love from above. LotusFlow will release this info any day now, any day now. Wow, this is what you want, ain't this all good!!?? And obviously she has to protect her source but rumour goes that Prince will do a cover of Tammy Wynette's ‘Stand By Your Man’ with Rammstein in Arras.
Welcome to "the org", jillis you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude! grandpa

So, the lady who runs the toilets knows that Prince will be singing all his hits for the last time?

Hmmmm

Hope everyone enjoys it theres no way us poor £7p/h bankers can offerd this one. Have to open the piggy bank and check.. Very brave with booking this show after Crowke 3121 and youtube. Booking a show during a flight ban in Europe.. His legal advisors must be loving it

I wouldn't call Arra a "cool choice of venue".(Doctor Outoftoucheberry)

This festival has been around a while, andd the north of France, while perfectly acceptable is hardly on anyone's "cool" list.

Honestly, with P's recent record I personally won't bother commiting myself....and I live in Paris...just a quick drive away!

There are lots of great bands /festivals around Europe this year....maybe my money will be safer going to them. confused confused confused confused
