Parking and arrival info 4 show at Paisley

High all,

quick update:

Tickets at the door will go on sale at 7 pm 2morrow, so there is no need 2 arrive b4 that. There will b no onsite parking other than handicapped parking. Special parking arrangements have been made at the SW Transit station at the intersection of HWYs 212 and 101. Shuttles will bring everyone from there 2 Paisley starting at 7 pm. Please do not park along the streets or in other business areas in Chanhassen since we know no one wants their cars towed. smile

There will b a separate line 4 Lotusflow3r members who pre-purchased their tickets. Please bring an ID so we know who u r. Everyone will get wristbands. Dress warmly since u may b outdoors 4 a bit.

As per usual, no photography or recording of any kind.

Peace.. c u there!

Depends how you figure on getting from the airport in Bloomington to this park-and-ride in Chanhassen.

Is that not the Southwest airline terminal at the airport???

Is that where the red star is on your map quest link? At the airport?

The shuttle/parking lot is not at the airport. You will need transportation from the airport to the site.

Tickets go on sale at 7, but can you tell us when ticket holders will be allowed in the building? When the doors will open? 7-11pm is a LONG time to wait in the cold, especially if our cars are a few miles away. It's supposed to get down to 32 degrees tomorrow night.

For those of us who have purchased tickets, it would be nice to know when we might want to get there - no need to get there at 7 if doors won't open till 10.

Thanks!! And thanks for the info provided already!

So I take it if you need to buy a ticket you need to be there by 7:00pm. Then what? Go home and come back? Around what time will people be allowed inside? Thanks for any info.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes the shuttles to bring everyone back to the parking lot after the show! Could be a long messy deal or could run great if they have lots of buses. Just thinking if everyone is leaving at once.....

Maybe there can be some kind of
banquet
room set up in a hotel

For the fans seeing this is a charity event to, help people stay warm.So they can have & bring their items. Instead of being in the cold snow with their goods and helps. That would be a (help) & charity back to the people.
And keep them warm, specially since..... there's no parking.
Maybe each person could pay like $3.00 or $5.00 if there would be a charge to go into the banquet room, to be warm til the time passes by for the concert... However I don't know if SW is willing to drop people there then pick people back up. but if close enough they could get cabs!

cause some people that don't have tix already or even those that do..... will be left to wait without cars...

Will we be allowed to wait inside 'til there's room on the shuttle?

Not to be pushy...but I'm sure it will have a bearing on folks's wardrobe selections...

Many thanks for all your help!

i'm thinking of getting to the bus station by 10:30...arriving to paisley shortly before 11. i have a strong feeling we'll be waiting outside for awhile even if we get there then.

i went to the 7-7-07 concert and we had to wait in the lobby of the target center for over an hour before we could be let in.

i have a feeling this will happen again tomorrow.

I'm working along the 10-10:30 timeline, myself. That'll allow me to get up there, check into my hotel, take a disco nap, eat something and arrive at the Park in good shape for long night. cool

I'm gonna shoot for in between times. Since I got my tix I'm not gonna go at 7:00 but I'm thinking of hitting the parking lot around 8:30. Maybe get to the Park by 9:00, maybe the doors will open at 10:00 (Hey! Wishful thinking!) The sooner I get in line, more of a possibility to grab a good spot inside for the show... Plus, part of any Prince or Paisley experiance is hanging out with the other fams and checking out the scene. It's usually pretty fun. Hey! if I could stay in line from 11:00 P.M. to after 3:00 P.M. the next day to get tickets for the First Ave I can probablly stand an hour or two outside Paisley in the cold! Heck, I've done it before. I stood out in very cold weather Dec, 1999, not even knowing if I would get into the Rave un2 the year 2000 taping (I did!).

There are two ways this could go tonight due to the event being highly publicized and it's on Chanhassen's radar with crowd control an issue

1. doors open at 11 concert starts at 12:30 over by 2ish. (conventional, city ordance may come into play - most likely for this event)

2. doors open at 11 concert starts at 1:30 over by 3:30am (Traditional Prince fashion)

3. doors open at 1am concert starts at 2:30 or 3 over by 5am. (Rare - small crowds, no plublicity, but oohh so funky)
