Warning/apology. It is a long tale but I could not stop.

Up to Thursday 13 augusts 2009 I thought that dream flight was an attraction of the Efteling (a Dutch amusement park). This knowledge has changed since the called date 4 ever. What I have been a trip. All definitions of the word Trip possibly need 2 be redefined because of what I and a number of happy people have experienced. Perhaps the aid of Prince is needed for the redefinition. I will explain below why.

Last Thursday morning a good (meanwhile my best; -)) friend Jose rung. Over an hour the sale of tickets for Prince in Monaco @ the opera House start! Buy!!! I said. Without having notion of the prices. Booked after back and forth phoning with my wife and other Prince drug addicts. This sounds simple but I can you tell that I have more understanding now how drug addicts feel. No money to have and everything shout in/against you:`don’t do it!’ and then book. Don’t know if it’s an issue 2 in your relations but does Prince and organizers know how I as an addicted feel? Anyway, whereas I speak/read not a word French but still I managed 2 book 4 tickets. I would go for cashflow reasons to the second concert only and a good friend to the first. Oh yes, nice 2 ask time of from work after have booked the tickets; -) Next the challenge for particularly Jose started for booking the hotel, flight etc. Perhaps not all organizers know of the option: Ever heard of e ticketing??? Therefore set off to Antwerp on Friday because as a real addict you want 2 hold the needle huhm I mean the tickets in advance. Meanwhile the friend could not go. Three guesses who bought that ticket from her.

After a couple of heavy day’s. The trip started. Sat in the plane with Dutch celebs Reinout Oerlemans and Mart Visser. Panic. Those celebs will not sit for me to during the concert I hope??? The next day beginning vd afternoon gone to Monte Carlo. In a suit at 40-45 degrees. Except of a couple of Dutch and Italian drug addicts there was no line. But stood there from 14.00 hours in the sun. It was more than worth it. Jose has been interviewed. Proof of this stood the following in the newspaper. Monaco-matin. As your already maybe know 2 guys lot their tickets. Luckily all problems were solved and they also could go. We all looked classy. As it should.

The first concert was super. Sat on the first file Right for the microphone next to the path. I have a beautiful picture. I will ask the aid of a mod. Before the beginning of the concert a remix (still no release) were spinned of dance 4 me. Really. Then (was outside still slightly) the opera curtains were drawn. During Dreamer he threw his guitar on the floor and went further with a new one (bring it back!). A beautiful red one (see my avatar). After he had played super he gave his guitar to me and Jose. The body to me and the neck 2 Jose. At Purple Rain he threw in a jam which even for him was new. Awesome! I get that some have heard this number too frequently but what anthem! We were allowed 2 wait with 40 others for the second concert. Bit chaotic but well think French style. Everyone was ready for a beautiful night. It became a beautiful night session. Elton came in and as it should got a standing ovation. Just like prince (no not the real Prince) Albert.

We however had the better places. Of course, again in the front. Slightly more to the right. Now I no longer could sit quietly before the concert. Dance 4 was on again and we helped the new arrivals setting off for the coming trip. Although (just like in the first concert) there were technical problems (the technician could leave after he on instruction of Prince set the sound of the microphone louder and were asked by Prince 2 walk away. Think that he still lies awake) it was also $uperrr! When you where mine was delicious. At Controversy the public was warned by Prince for prince Albert (I wish there where no rules): `Be carefull The boss is upstairs!’. And there was also an interlude of Housequake. The version of Dreamer was also delicious. Now someone else could hold my guitar. Prince wanted 2 dance with girls on stage. A couple of guys went also up on stage and then I could not hold myself (I’m an addict you know). I wanted 2 leave the band 2 do their thing. But I gave 2 thumbs up 2 Morris Hayes. After Dreamer it was done. After I scored 2 plectrums we left the building dancing on the fat beat of Dance 4 me. The assistant of Prince was so sweat to ask the DJ 2 put on the volume.

Sat after the concert with a German lady on the terrace. Because we needed 2 wait until the next morning for the train I suggested 2 visit Jimmy*z as a nice evening walk. Also because we wouldn’t think we could get in. Underway bumped in 2 the roady of Prince. They will not be performing for an aftershow. But perhaps that Prince would be in Jimmy*z. Then we arrived and were surprised. No fancy entrance or gatekeeper. Why we saw soon enough. A beer was €26,--. So no drinks for us. Jose came stumbling back from his search around the club: Prince and Renato stood on the dancing floor! Check de site van Jimmy*z (http://www.montecarlobay....z,527.html) how small this was.

Numbers we danced on: the Remix van Dance 4 me and Michael Jackson (Don't stopper Till You Get Enough!!). Yes you read it well. Prince has danced on less than 30 cm (thickness of a bodyguard) from me. Furthermore the music apart of a couple numbers was sh*t. Prince thought the same because he went a couple times to the DJ 2 ask a different tunes. Prince has also asked with our German lady friend for another music. One of his favorite numbers of James Brow is Body heat. Around 05.30 am Prince left. Probably to another club (it’s a legend). Then the crying started as we walked to the train. Why does a train station always is on a spot far from where you R?

What a dream flight it has been. I know that it was a lot of money is and understand the people whom made the sensible decision by not going. But never ever I wanted 2 miss this. What a spot to have seen Prince in concert. Held his guitar, danced on stage with him on stage, scored plectrums has been got and last but not least danced on the same dance floor with him. Can I say now that I have been out on town with Prince??? What remains is that just like with other friends also he got the beautiful girls. Probably it lasts a couple of centuries before my bank account has a bit of life back. But there r rumors of several shows in Europe. In other words: It ain’t over!!!
