I would agree but the fact that the crowd was so hyped during these parts kinda negated my boredom. I didn't really get into "Mellow, Mellow" either. Not too crazy about the recorded version either. Overall though the concert is tight beyond belief...

Yeah, I'm kinda sick of that song combo myself . . . he does it way too much. I wouldn't mind hearing one or the other in its ENTIRETY!!

He does BOTH in their entirety, on this tour. It's a nice change. Finally, we get the bridges and 3rd verses, again.

the preaching this time around was pretty thick and deep-- between "Avalanche", his preaching during "Purple Rain" and "Joy In Repetition" and the stuff from TRC, it was pretty off putting at time for me. I still grooved hard and enjoyed myself, but I shouldn't have to pay $125.00 to go to church, dig?

The only part i didn't like was when the lights came up at the very end... and i couldn't move cuz i wanted more, and folx just started stepping over me. My big toe still hurts. "i never imagined that love would rain on me..."

The only part I DIDN'T like was when he failed to pull me up onstage & sing to ME - that was lame...
AND when everybody pushed me out the way to get guitar picks, but I got one & nobody stepped on my toe...

The show was off the hook, to the max!!!
Everybody complains about the preaching at the shows, but u have 2 expect it b4 u even buy the tickets, Lord knows he has been doing it for most of his professional career. I mean "GOD" and TEMPTATION" were played alot from 1984-88. My point is enjoy the show and if u don't get the preaching how then will u ever get the music. There is no separation of he two. Prince is still about SEX and GOD no matter what he says.

Yea I agree, he used to say simply "Cross the Line" and play "the Cross" now he actually explains his beliefs and preaches. I also didn't like take Me With U, Raspberry Beret, and When U Were Mine. I'm really sick of those and When U Were Mine was missing the synth lines and the beat was a little different, not as good as I'd heard it before. I would have played songs like I Could Never Take The Place, Pop Life and Computer Blue or something similar from that time instead of those other 3 songs that have been played to death. ______________________________________________

I was wondering why he closed with Anna Stesia? I liked this song when it was featured during the Lovesexy tour in 1988, but he could have chosen so many other songs to close with instead of going back and using this one again. ______________________________________________

I didn't like when Prince asked people in the front row whether they were leaders or followers, and he turned a cold shoulder to the folks who said they were leaders, as if actually being a leader is a bad thing. Well I guess in the Watchtower Society, it is. That's a damn shame, though. I love Prince but I wish he'd get the hell away from that cult.

The show was great, but he could've done without Raspbery beret and take me with U, so over played...'
The introduction of Sign "0" The Times however was f#@king brilliant "Time is a train, makes the future the past"

I thought it was a little out of place to end the beautiful Anna Stesia with, "JOIN THE CLUB!" If you gotta pub it (which I understand) do it when folks are on their feet, feeling good & dancing! Not when you've just talked about the Lord & such...

the piano section it's definitely not my favourite part, as the "Join the club" chant. cheers

I guess he simply wants to say this at the end of the concerts. Would make sense, right? Still agree with you, though. Like always!

Some of you have no sens of humor whatsoever or what?! It was also Prince saying I'M THE LEADER. His ego is just something else.

The sound was great in LA but that damn Carrot Top guy sat in front of me during the entire show & I couldn't see a freakin thing. Does anyone think that guy's even remotely funny??

The only thing about him playing this song as the encore that I didn't like is that damn Craig Mack "Flava In Yo Ear" loop he starts to play. It makes it sorta too hip-hoppy for my tastes! He needs to just rock that shit (even harder this time) like during the Lovesexy tour!

I would say the hits and the pianostuff where he did all the showtricks. The painosegment could be much more improv or just one night alone stuff. ...there was a girl in paris...wait something wrong here...london,...hamburg...berlin...holland...antwerp... Ich bin bei der Neue Kraft Bewegung

Didn't like it when he got us to point to the balcony in Hammersmith and chant "Join the Club".
And how can any of you say you didn't like the piano part?!??! His voice was absolutely spell-binding!
