poor woman was probably scared after reports about the venom being poured out over her on the org. and if she was at the soundboard for the 3rd show i think we can assume the ballad set was dedicated to her. what other time in recent history has he played so many slow jams in 1 show? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

We were thinking that she was probably originally slated to perform with Prince at the Conga Room (since Sheila performed at the 1st show and Chaka performed at the 3rd show), but it was scratched last minute due to the sound issues prevailing over the entire night. Maybe she and Prince didn't want her 1st live introduction to everyone to be marred by problems?? Prince was able to perform well thru the problems obviously due to his extensive experience and expertise...she woulda bombed

Oh, and our highlight (or lowlight) of the evening was the friggin moron chick standing behind us in Club Nokia who bitched the entire time about what he was playing "Why isn't he playing Purple Rain?" "This jazz stuff is boring" and when Chaka joined Prince on stage she said:
"OMG, its Patti LaBelle!!!" (and no, she wasn't joking) [Edited 3/29/09 16:43pm]

She and her husband kept spilling drinks and then she shouted over and over about hearing Purple Rain when if they had of paid for the first show, she would have heard it!!!

I was really enjoying the arrangement of "I Love U But I don't Trust U Anymore" unitl she started yelling "1985" and "Purple Rain" all over it. It was disgusting. I cannot stand morons like that. It was a midnight show and she's asking for Purple Rain. Why not just enjoy the amazing musicianship. I thoroughly enjoyed the Club Nokia set. He played so many songs that I have never heard him do live or do in their entirety. Also the arrangments on several songs like "The Sun, Moon and Stars" were superb. Anyway, I was happy when those ignorant fools left. [Edited 3/30/09 15:15pm] perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...
