Stop being ignorant. Plenty of hits as well as rarely played gems. Seems he tried to do something for everyone. No idioit is going to do a whole concert of rare songs. eek

Thanks for the common sense. It is just dumb to bad mouth Prince for playing hits.

I agree and if memory serves me correctly, I believe he said he'd never play the hits again the same way he did before. When he said that, it was clearly a marketing ploy. Prince, like many other artists, knows that he can't permanently remove his hits from his set list. Sadly, there are fans that STILL want to hear PR, Kiss and Raspberry Beret for the trillionth time! It's like Santana playing "Black Magic Woman!" That said, his set lists were varied and provided something for everyone.

Thanks for further input from those who were in attendance. Had I been on West coast at time of show I would have been there, but just happens I was scheduled (and still am) to be in NY at the time of the shows. Did get a chance to read more reviews and various input on the sound issue, and I would have to say that given the set lists of 2nd and 3rd shows, I think I would have still enjoyed the shows.
I hate to gripe, but I am with those who are so sick of hearing "fans" complain about not knowing songs that P plays. This began to really iritate me in Vegas at the 3121 shows as near the last couple months it just became Rio and other vegas "high rollers" and stupid tourists getting totally drunk, acting like classless fools, and complaining about not getting the best seats, talking throughout the show (about nothing, may I add), and crying for songs from Purple Rain only. I actually passed up several free tixs because I couldnt deal w/ listening, let alone watching another fool scream nonsense to P or worse yet trying to attack him! My last straw was watching some drunken bimbo pop a boob out while falling mid "dance" screaming dribble to a horrified looking P!
