Prince Review (first night on Leno)

Soooo...did anyone go? How was it? Did he play extra songs? Were the lines long? Will I get a chance to go if I arrive early enough on Friday?

Maybe I am blind but I can't find a single post about the first show - I got to just watch it here in Australia and love that he teased with the start of Purple Rain before launching into Old Skool Company.

The band was tight and Prince got the crowd worked up.

At the end it was like Prince was doing his "i'm so cool I can leave the stage" thing and then realised - oh Jay is coming over better get back out there and shake the man's hand.

Looking forward to tomorrow nights show.

And to hearing from the folks that were there.

He killed it! Great performance.

There is no one in the world that can even be in the same conversation as Prince when it comes to talking about live performers, with the possible exception of Bruce Springsteen.

Just my opinion, of course.

yep...he kilt it last night!!! Ol skool company has got to be the best song on the market today!! I saw him do it in hollywood and I liked the way he let the groove bump for a few minutes before he actually started singing. The beat is crazy on that joint!!

Best part of tonight's performance was when P served the dude his guitar. The look on the dude's face was priceless.

Don't like the "Semi-Reggae breakdowns and bridges"..

I like bridges, but when I was still anticpating new material years ago, I noticed hese type of breaks.. It kills th flow of the song (in my opinion).
