Cameras???? Can we take pics? Hey everybody,
This is my first Prince concert and I am so excited. I have floor tickets at Club Nokia and hoping to arrive super early to get up close. I want to bring my camera and take pics. Do they allow it at Club Nokia??? and secondly, does Prince's peeps allow it??? I just don't want to get my camera confiscated. Please help!

In the guest services section of the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE website:
"CAMERAS/PHOTOGRAPHY No commercial or flash photography of any kind is permitted. Camcorders or any other audio/visual equipment is prohibited unless authorized by the promoter or performer. Specifically, the use of the following equipment is not permitted: * Lenses greater than three-and-one-half inches in length * Telephoto or zoom lenses of any kind * Interchangeable lenses of any kind * Monopods or tripods * Flash equipment of any kind"

I've been to a few events over the years and have been told that I wasn't going to be able to bring a camera. But once I've arrived at the concert/event I've seen plenty of people with cameras out taking pics during the performance (with the exception of tonight's Leno show). I told myself last time that to never again show up to an event without a camera and I'm planning on picking one up before I get to my trio of concerts tomorrow...
Let's do this folks! | |

I was there @ the tonight show and saw them throw a couple people out for using their cell phone and camera. But that wasn't prince's people, it was the tonight show people, and I've seen plenty of camera action in the last two prince concerts that I went to in vegas... so do what you like, I just know that I am going to have my camera this time to have some pics to remember the concert with

Let's do this folks! if you try and they catch you have fun tryin to get your camera back I'm only speaking of the theater (as I've not been in the other venues). Nokia varies its policy from artist to artist. If cameras aren't permitted for a performance and they find you with one at the door, you will not be allowed to enter. You go thru the customary metal detector speil. Buried in a purse may be another case, so IF you make it inside with a camera and the ushers see you taking pix, you'll be asked to stop. This applies to phone cameras too. They are agressive about this. While I've never seen one taken (I've been to eight shows there), my guess is if you are warned and continue to take photos, you will either be removed from the venue, and/or your camera may be removed from you.
