Nokia curfew or time restrictions I have been wondering if there is a curfew on when acts have to shut it down at the Nokia center as a whole, so I spoke with someone at the center and she told me there is no curfew.
Good news, especially for Nokia Club. Good chance it will not start on time and he could perform longer than an hour and half set.

We're hoping and praying that Club Nokia does not have a strict curfew cuz if they don't, P will surely perform into the wee morning hours

OK, so I researched this a bit and found this blog by someone who saw a George Clinton show at Club Nokia about 3 months ago:
By the time they had us chanting this last Friday, it was at least forty-five minutes past the 12:30 curfew posted by the doors. The band looked unsurprised as the PA went dead, followed by the monitors, followed by the amps. But the drummer wouldn't stop, and they couldn't turn him off, and George Clinton was still up there, hollering at us and pumping his fists. We were right there with him. So for a couple of minutes, we burned the candle right down to the end, till there was nothing left. A nonstop two and a half hour show is generous by most bands standards, but P-Funk is a different kind of thing. http://laist.com/2009/01/...-funka.php So, if that's the case and there are signs saying that the curfew is 12:30, I'm sure that will be thrown out the door for Prince's show since it friggin starts at midnight (and we all know he won't start on time).....

What time do bars close in LA? Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.. (Voltaire)

If that's what they told you, then good. When we saw P-Funk there a couple months ago George literally got the plug pulled on him well before 2 AM.

I'm assuming that's the same show I mentioned in my earlier post above?? I don't think that will happen to P since the printed start time on his tickets is MIDNIGHT....
