I went to three main shows. aug. 28th and 31st and the last one on the 21st. 28th was my favourite. Short but very good. But for release the 21st show will be better cuz its way longer and more different songs. And the whole glowstick thing was pretty cool to watch...so 21st for me although I had more fun on the 28th. Tell me who in this house knows about the quake?

out of these mainshows: 1st, 4th, 14th, 18th, 28th August...12th, 13th, 20th
and 21st sept... 14th August or 13th sept were my favourites...but will go with Whistler on the 21st for those reasons...full house, glowsticks, last night etc etc [Edited 2/25/09 17:02pm]

Classic! we were seated with a good view of the left hand side of the stage so my friend spotted Sir Elton even before the lights went down. He looked like a fish out of water - constantly getting in the way on stage. But for me the best moment was when he approached Prince with wide stretched arms going in for a hug, and all he got was a prince style cool cat shoulder bump. Classic! (I liked the 21st - though personally I thought the 20th was better as a 'last night' performance. Remember how he started bang on time and people had to find their seats in the dark, music playing Prince waiting, waiting and waiting, just looking cool, hand on his cheek as if to say - 'London I'm here - where are you?!')

Might be a bit more interesting if you told us why! Well one reason is that, that was the night I was there, also Will.i.am join him on stage to rap to musicology 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we keep our eyes, not on the things seen, but on the things unseen. For the things seen are temporary, but the things unseen are everlasting."

Hmmm, opening night just so that I get to see the final encore that I missed out on! August 14th because it was one of the finest of the 12 main shows I saw. Final night for all of the reasons outlined above.
For aftershows, 28th August aftershow is a must. But also, 16th, 13th and 21st September too. You never know, with the new video archive on lotusflow3r and the suggestion that nearly every show since the Purple Rain days has been recorded. Might we get to see everything we wish for? RIP

The 14th August was also the first time we heard "Don't worry I won't hurt U I only want u to have some fun" and a full version of 1999 - Forever in my Life; a jawdropping performance of Nothing compares 2 U; even Purple Rain sounded unusually passionate that night! 12th september 1999 era piano medley was amazing too - and 13th september A Love Bizarre encore is perhaps the most happy memory I have of the main-shows. Here's hoping u're right about the video section of Lotusflow3r.com -and that these shows really weren't 'for our memories' only Went to quite a few aftershows - but the ones you mention 28/8, 13th, 16th and 21st/9 were the only ones I went to where the man put in an appearance himself. I'm glad they are regarded as stand-out by others than just myself
