I'm reading Prince is doing a song U & Me
does anyone have any info of this song?
Is it new...mayb a cover?
What does it sound like?

It segues out of 'trollin''in the show, and it compliments it inasmuch as it is a light jazz-flavoured melody with horn accompaniment in the arrangement.

Oh no, when I heard this at Manchester I thought he sang 'You Fancy Me'... I just smiled at the lyric (as I heard it) as, after all, it is Prince and perhaps only he could get away with singing that !

I kinda like my interpretation of the lyric anyway, and hey, he wasn't wrong !

Sounded like "You own me" IMO.

i'm spanish so my ear might b wrong, but i've got lots of imagination!!! so here goes my interpretation...

I've heard it four times, i think so, 3, 4, 5 and 8 october...not sure... for me it would have fit perfectly in Woddy Allen's "Ever1 says I love u"...

I just saw him tonight and in the soundcheck they were working on those two songs - Strollin - U Want Me
and he definitely said "you want me"

That was with nothing to distract me, no music not a sound in the theatre, he was telling Greg to do his solo just before U WANT ME comes in ....

but it is possible on an occasion he sang what you just said. But I just listened to 6 versions of it and I never heard that line that you mentioned...

I read from someone who took a peek at the lyricbook (wasn't there someone who got one as a present) that the song is actually called U & Me.

Very funny when he sang "Blah, blah, blah etc" as he pretended to look bored (to hear the same old cheesy shit) and then gave a cheeky wee smile. I think he grinned all the way through this song...who else could get away with lyrics like "U fancy me"?
