BUT what happened that morning in Paris and in Rotterdam is beyond all expectations. I tell U that having had a listening 2 NT with my headphones - note that the sound quality is not so good as the above-mentionned, and DO note that I do not advertize any bootleg at all: I'm just talking about xperiences and can we talk about bootlegs when there is no purchase but only "free" download (I mean the internet provider)

I prefer Bataclan : Bataclan = Nt + Bass & Bataclan = NT + 45'

One more thing: yes I feel like everybody here waiting 4 the box set, I'm very excited about that one despite having had a listen 2 a lot of ONA downloads.
What irritates me is the fact that I read a lot of complaints, how can u imagine that Prince can disappoint Us now that he has reached what he wanted 4 so long : Freedom.
Shame on him if he does That but do U really think he will, TRUST is what is all about.

Trust me the Bataclan show was very High spiritually, If i could listen 2 that download with the same sound as TheOneUknow sure it would b... let's say another "Small Club"

I don't like 2 talk about "the best" or "better" of this or that, but let me tell U that Prince is a guitar virtuoso, His guitar solos r @ the ultimate limit between natural and Surnatural.

True, old boot meaning classic boot. Everybody has heard it and knows it for years. It's a reference for other boots and kinda nostalgic (important!!!).

2. aftershow
True. Aftershows are always much more interesting than a 'regular' show.

True, but Prince played Just My Imagination a lot and all version are awesome!! Just listen to the version from Hamburg'88!!

True; at the time there were not that many EX++ boots of live shows, which made Small Club kinda special. It was one the first perfect boots.

5. lenght
True. Small Club was and still is one of the longest aftershows Prince has done. The more great music, the better the show, the better the boot.

6. Holland
Face it; Prince is very populair in Holland and the dutch are very prominent in the Prince-news. I guess Prince has the most fans per square km in Holland (assumption... but it might wel be true ). Therefor, the dutch will shout the loudest about 'their' Small Club.


Conclusion: Small Club will always be the best Prince bootleg.



So, enough reasons to argue...

nighttown was the most incredible show i have ever witnessed in my purple life! just off tha hook, outa space! 'nough said! prince release it! its just good 4 the vault! as said b4, bring out the shizznet! rock'N'roll's Alive & it lived in nighttown (that nite) - duno about bataclan, pretty shure that this one was great as well, and comparing it 2 small club - well, i do the same, but 4 me it was MY small club, maybe a SC version 2002 - c, there are 14 years between! and the new NPG is just excellent! and sheila was a big + sign (also compared 2 bataclan) - so 4 me, it was the best ever witnessed! glad i did this tripp and it was worthwhile all the money and time i have spent on this! fonky dutch peeps! on the one, fonk! fabhouse

I think if we all could hear the Nighttown show from the soundboard it would be a different story. Small Club rules because we can hear the emotion in Prince's guitar playing...Nighttown was pretty intense; the intro, Whole Lotta Love, The One, Beautiful Strange...

Me thinks Soundboard quality + song selection = classic boot!!!

IMO:

Nighttown was ok, but do not pretend like it was the best show ever.

It was my 7th aftershow and believe me : I witnessed aftershows that were alot greater than nighttown.

I think people are exagerating because they have to justify the fact that it costed 100$ to get in.

My best aftershow experience : LIVE MUSIC HALL - cologne. Best days of wild EVER!!!
