Thank you Iwould. There's nothing wrong about nostalgia!

I blame whoever is responsible for the cancellation for my personal loss. Not money-wise though. I didn't get a chance to see my peeps...

Love u all

Hmm... It has to be more than just mentioning cities or places... We need to come up with a concept, reinvent Prince, show him 'what he always wanted but could never find'...

Uhh! Dare we!??

"LAST SPRING IN HOUSES ACROSS THE GLOBE PRINCE FANS PREPARED FOR WHAT WAS PROMISED TO BE HIS LAST PERFORMANCE
OF HIS GREATEST HITS FOR HIS IRISH FANS AT AN EXCLUSIVE CONCERT IN DUBLIN’S CROKE PARK ON 16 JUNE FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY"

From the moment it was announced a frenzy of activity swept over the concerts forum. We were examining photos of the stadium, editing photos with our desired locations, possible stage designs and layouts. We were discussing tactics on how to get one over TM. We then all told one another about the trials and tribulations on how many tickets we bought and where they where.

“I've got a golden ticket ....A or B?.....mine are block 303 I prefer to have my own zone!"

You remember fun times

Don’t get me started on what we were going to be wearing!!

Then something happened on 10/06/08 that shattered all our dreams our carefully choreographed routines, our budding romance between eireboy and darling blossoming and I guess we will never really know the real reason why.

That is why as of today I declare we start preparing for his next gig wherever it maybe. Perhaps we should suggest locations to him, perhaps we want more than just the hits, and we want to tell him what outfit to wear.

So go on start your own thread, make some demands you never know they might just happen!!!!

nod sad So sad.. so sad...ah well, looking to the future, I agree with Paris actually! I would love to spend a few days in Paris around a Prince concert, that would really be fun! Especially as we can all get together, and eireboy can show us around, and take us to the really cool places! biggrin That is after he's done a few more Indigo nights to launch the book of course! I don't know what to ask from the concert though, he could just stand there and sing Humpty Dumpty and I'd be in raptures - ok, maybe not! lol

...except, I have no clue wink I mean, what has he not done!?

Okay, maybe a concert with no hits at all?? Personally, I would love to hear what he has to offer, but not sure most of the fans would. And the media would probably scold him for that...

Then I think he should do an show for only a little audience. I'm diggin the newyears eve thing. What about acoustic? Until the clock says 12. then the band comes out and the party's ON

I like that! The shift from acoustic to PARTY ON! nod

Small audience could be cool, but doesn't really enhance the chance of getting tickets!? I still think the O2 setup was great apart from the floor seats behind the band... Shouldn't be bigger than that in my opinion...

So far:

Date: New Years Eve 2009
Place: Paris
Music: NO HITS! First set (until midnight): Acoustic and solo. Second set (after midnight): Plug in the band and PARTY ON!

Any aftershow!?
Shoes!?

And since we are in Paris, can E-boy hook us up with purple champagne? And Darling, maybe some glasses with Dutch chocolate handles? Prince is in for a treat wink

a little bit of purple food colouring would sort out the purple champagne biggrin

i reckon a concert for only the fans as well not like koko when there were loads of people who were executives etc neutral

i wish the NPGMC still existed i hate the fact i missed out on that sad

i dont think there would be need for an aftershow if it doesnt start till late and then carries on after midnight with the band

shoes = it depends if it is seated or standing lol

Well, I have already suggested a NO HITS concert. For starters I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear:

- She gave her Angels
- A case of U (acoustic, and maybe even on guitar, yeah, definitely on guitar!)
- Holy River
- Sleep around
- The Ladder (was that ever a real hit? Otherwise off the list...)

Feel free to add on...

If this concert goes ahead I'll lick 'm, eire. No kidding.

setlist:
don't play me
temptation
IT
Thunder (I'm sorry, I love it)
willin' and able

who asked 'standing or seating'? Standing ofcourse. Or 'dancing'. YES ALL OF U dancing!

Shoes: it's winter right... purple boots, blue velvet dress, long silver earrings. It will be fabulous!

Hahahaha no. 1 gig only. For a small audience. 4000 sounds good.
I understand geo4you's view though. When it's a small gig, it's probably more expensive to get in. That means only the fans with the most money, get in... Can't we think of another system?

Everyone should send a few word 'why they should be @ this gig @ this date'. A jury will decide.
