I have nothing against Dr.F, and I know he's done a lot for fans over the years.
The only thing I have a slight problem with is the way he's handling himself
currently with his blogsite, that's all. And that's only because he seems to be
playing up to the Dr Funkenberry-is-the-new-official-mouthpiece-for-Prince
misconception. That kind of game playing just annoys me. It's like when people
come on here under a fake name pretending to be Prince or something. It's all
just so unnecessary.

However, you obviously seem to have a problem with me for some reason.
I should check yourself in the mirror if I were you though, as all things you're
accusing me of are exactly the behaviours you're displaying here. It's exactly
this attitude of shouting down people that you consider "haters" that caused
all the trouble with the Croke Park cancellation incident. If I WAS all the things
you accuse me of ,then I would've spilled the beans here about who Dr. F is
and outed his sources, as well as dropping a few other bombshells about the
truth behind certain stories and information. But that's not what I'm about,
and IMO it would do more harm than good.

How is this person playing up to being the official mouthpiece? It seems like this thread and others are making ASSUMPTIONS on things that are not there. It is obvious to others on this thread that look at the site on a regular basis, it is NOT Prince related at all. If you only look when they have Prince news, then your assumptions are on you.

They go WEEKS without mentioning Prince at all. When there is something relevant to post OR if an appearance is made, then he is mentioned.

Do you actually read the other stuff on the site? Dance reviews, movie reviews, the put downs of Amy Winehouse n the romances of John Mayer & Tony Romo? It has political pieces. It has pieces on current events and Obituary's of celebs. How is that a mouthpiece for Prince? HATER!

You have to understand, to me, and I am sure others, it comes off as hate and jealousy because to anyone who has eyes, it is NOT an official Prince site at all. There is nothing in there that makes it seem that they are trying to pretend to be Prince or whatever. It does seem that you are letting personal issues get in the way of that and are too involved.

The reason I say you are too involved is because no where on that site does it mislead anyone. It seems to be an entertainment site who has connections with several entertainment people and stories and has very good sources for that and Prince stories. So what?

You know what is funny? Since this site came on the scene, perezhilton.com has been running more Prince stories and been more positive towards him. Same with TMZ.com and covering the Green Door constantly to see if he shows up. This Dr site is NOWHERE near on the level of those two sites, but he is scooping them not just on Prince stories but other stories too. All it takes is one huge breaking story and a site is made.

Again, if it is "said" person, this person has had Prince scoops over the years, but because the way this person was treated by a FAN site, this person keeps the scoops to themselves and posts on thier own site about it now. It seems that for years, there was never a problem with this person posting Prince stories as long as it was on a FAN site such as YOURS.

We can't find out who this person is I think not because they are not willing to admit who they are, but the way it was handled to begin with. Neither confirming or denying because of that, but just moving on and being adult and letting it go. Like I said, if this person admitted who they were in the Prince fan community, they would be loved more. But it shows they are not trying to be a mouth piece by not bringing it up and just moving on.

So I ask you this, because it is obvious to me this person is NOT a mouthpiece and seems to be trying at least to run a legitimate entertainment site and NOT a Prince site, why do you find it unecessary? Again, it comes off as jealousy.

This has nothing to do with Croke park and it's cancellation at all.

Yes, you have not outed who this person is on here but check any thread on your site about DR Funkenberry and that persons name comes up.

And what you just posted seems like a threat about dropping bomb shells and other information. Why do you have to act like you know something we all don't know? What does that prove? It comes off as arrogant. It is too bad you see this as an attack instead of a discussion but I guess the way I worded it, it could be construed as an attack.

My point is this; it is NOT a Prince site. This person is NOT a mouthpiece. If it where, where are all the Princebonics all over that crap?

I will try to be civil with you because it seems you can call out others who do not seem to be protecting themselves but when you are called out, you go on the attack/defensive rather fast.

This has gone a bit crazy. But the main points to me are:

Dr F has a relationship with Prince's camp, Prince has fed PR information and Party information to the site, in absence of 3121.com. The "Honeybee collective" anyone? And the party insider blogs etc.

So as far as I'm concerned it is legitimate to reference Dr F's site as somewhat of an unofficial Prince mouth piece. To me at least that is as clear as day.

I'm afraid I don't really understand the other conversation going on in here. I know, he knows we all know etc etc.


I don't really care who Dr F is, but I am in little doubt as to the role the site now plays. Sounds like there are a few bruised egos in here from previous 'conversations'. Maybe someone should fill the rest of us in.!

Ok, well it seems obvious that people aren't actually interested in discussing
things in an objective manner, they'd much rather make stuff up about what
they think I said than what I actually said. Still don't know why my
barely 3 comments warranted such an essay of abuse. But so be it, I won't say
any more on the subject.

Now I don't visit here every day, not even every week, and even I know who Dr.F is. I'd tell you now but seeing as the person(s) in question have chosen not to do so themselves, It'd be a bit rude for me to do it.
The people behind Dr.F. have posted on this and other boards for many years, and are pretty known for providing valuable info in a timely manner.

It's pretty obvious to me that he's an unofficial mouthpiece:
