To be honest - I stayed on my own for 2 days. I had a long period of heartaches and pain, a friend of us dying, I was backstabbed by someone I thought was one of my best friends etc. I did a very long walk on Monday afternoon, had dinner and sat down for a short rest - but I fell asleep....silly me. I loved the walk though and I shopped on Tuesday but I'm sorry to have missed the fun! I love Prince and chocolate - in that order | |

i am gutted that he cancelled, but have to agree that croker was too big for him.
would be fab to see him in the new point. more intimate. i just hope that bridges have not been burned by this fiasco. | |

No insider information - I just think that Prince is going to sign a deal with Live Nation and that's why the tour this year was put on hold. They use TicketMaster to issue their tickets (thay are currently TM's biggest customer) - that deal runs out at the end of 2008 - and are rumoured to take on TM from next year by issuing their own tickets and they've already signed up U2, Madonna and JayZ for huge money - 10-12 year deals for over $100m each. Live Nation (formerly Clear Channel) are in talks to buy MCD - they already have business tie-ups in the UK. Live Nation will also be running the new Point (and own half of it). They run a host of other venues internationally, so they'll control the whole chain from ticket to artist. So IMHO there should be no bridges burnt - Croker just got binned in the grand scheme of things.
