Security Checks does anyone know if they will be stopping people bringing mobile phones in?
i think towards the end in the o2 they were getting a bit militant about it. and in light of the 'creep' fiasco he may want them banned. any thoughts?? | |

There is NO WAY that anyone in Ireland will hand over their phones to monkeys. There would be a riot. Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p | |

They can't stop people bringing in phones. It would be an infringement on your rights. Using them as cameras in the venue is different though! Can't see how they can police the crowd like the o2. It's massive! And there is no way (apart from gold circle) they can 'channel' into the crowd like at the o2.
I will never understand why people insist on recording crappy video on their phones rather than enjoying gig. why? "My God it's full of Stars"

I will never understand why people insist on recording crappy video on their phones rather than enjoying gig. why? Yes, I agree completely. It's very rude. It ruins things. You can't see the gig/artist properly so it wrecks the vibe and puts you off the music. And Prince doesn't like it. I was at a concert in London couple of weeks ago and all I could see were rows and rows of mobile phone screens in front of me. It's an idiotic thing to do, I immediately put someone in a 'no brain' category when I see it. (I have to say tho, Irish bouncers are much scarier than English ones. Saw a few English bouncers being walked on by audience in the O2, wouldn't happen in Dublin. With Dublin hired-in security you'd be out on your arse in 2 seconds if you ignore the rules) | |

I will never understand why people insist on recording crappy video on their phones rather than enjoying gig. why? it can be really distracting having that going on beside you. i am not good with technology, they would prob laugh at my mobile rather than take it off me. i would just be bringing it to stay in touch with people. | |

And he won't play darling nikki i'm afraid. Well not the whole thing anyway. He did the intro only at the o2. And stopped before saying he couldn't play that anymore. Sorry! one tiny pic from you, another few people with a sneaky little snap, then a few with a teeny weeny video, and for every person that is being quick, there’s some person who really doesn't care and just does it all nice and slowly.
Before you know it (like 2 minutes into the gig) and the whole front view is full of little bright lights snapping away. They are worse than cameras, so in your face. and distracting. It has ruined many gigs for a lot of people. Ever wonder why the atmosphere at the O2 wasn’t ruined with it. Because the man put his foot down. I have no patience for that crap. None. Don't do it!!!!  | |
