PLEASE, PLEASE WILL PEOPLE STOP BEING SO GOD DAMN NEGATIVE!!! When the Prince concert at Croke Park was announced I was buzzing as I usually am when a Prince concert is announced but as soon as I go on Prince.org or Housequake.com people are straight away saying Oh he might cancel because of the fan feud, he's gonna cancel due to ticket sales or because he cancelled one or two gigs twenty years ago due to bad weather(SOTT).
If people have any evidence that the concert may not or will not go ahead please provide proof otherwise stop and think that by saying he may not perform due to poor ticket sales may affect ticket sales as people will be scared to go due to the costs involved!!!!! For example I decided to bite the bullet and buy a Gold Circle ticket from Ebay and sell my standing one on here at cost. The first response I got was from Xenophobia saying 'Buyers Beware The concert may be cancelled'!!! Any concert could be cancelled due to illness or bad weather but in June and with Prince being of good health I dont see a valid reason it would be!!! Peace.

Maybe it's not in the country of there choice , so they like to spread rumours.
If it gets cancelled, then thats what will happen, but it's not cancelled yet, so it's still on!

Even the 'buyers beware' is pretty offensive to start off with. Don't worry DAZ01204. Apparently it's almost sold out, so it's too little too late from people who want to bring on the negativity. You have your gold circle ticket!! You are going to rock your ass off!!

Since all the recent crap, I pay no notice to what goes on at Housequake. Apart from the "What is Hip?' nonsense and telling members to 'f**k off', letting the rumours spread about (the obviously bogus) 'Prince in Benidorm' last year was bad.
Imho, Prince will play if he's able to and MCD, the promoters, are going to pay him a huge fee. MCD are huge - money's not a problem. Prince has shown that recently he'll travel to do one-off gigs for the cash - an aircraft hangar in Moscow last year for a private party comes to mind. Yes, it does seem strange that Dublin would be a stand-alone concert and not part of an expected tour of Europe (I believe that's where some of the negativity comes from.) But f**k Housequake - if I want accurate information, I'll check out www.mcd.ie

There hasn't been, so.....

Like many of you on the org i have followed Prince for many years and as stated before Prince fans expect the unexpected, Prince is unique and has done many one off shows before so why should Dublin be any different, could it be that we were treated to the o2 shows last year that because he isn't announcing a 15 date tour then some of us (the negative ones) start announcing that he is cancelling, why Dublin?, poor ticket sales, it's going to rain, the earth isn't flat etc etc etc. Let's just be grateful that once again he has chosen this side of the pond to play 'cos we as P fans were in heaven last year with 21 nights. I will be at the front sticking a big finger up to all those who start this crap on Monday June 16th when Prince strides on stage AND ON THE 7TH DAY OF THE 6TH MONTH..GOD CREATED FUNK!!!

The earth's not flat??? I guess we all expected a tour but should we have? Take away the residencies in London and Vegas and the Tamar tour (whatever that was about??) and he's basically done one-off shows since the Musicology tour in '04. Maybe he'll come to Dublin for a couple of days, do some religious study in the Chester Beatty library and make enough from the gig to pay for a pancake or three. I'm off to Croke Park this evening to watch a bit of football and will be visualising a nice big pointy stage in front of the Hill.

Yeah, 'In Bruges' was a riot. And it had nearly as much cursing and violence as the Concerts forum has recently.
